Here's something a lot of guys don't want to talk about. It's not my favorite subject either but the world and everything going on it's a lot for anybody. We all know we are responsible for ourselves and nobody else is going to come to the rescue.

What's the best natural supplement that you use to feel better each day? We all know even some gear can cause unwanted sides and cause anxiety, depression and other mental health issues from time to time. what's everybody's protocol What's everybody doing besides working out to stay mentally fit?

The only supplement i know of that actually helps with anxiety is 5-HTP.

My whole life I have resisted using anything or self medicating for feeling “down.”

Maybe alcohol once in a while but I didn’t realize I was even doing it. And not to mention it’s a depressant which made matters worse.

I have felt my best during the worst of times using self help books and the like. Ppl smarting than me who can speak in an educated way. With perspective I hadn’t considered.

My relationship with God has also been very helpful to me. And self talk with positive affirmations.

Trust me, I am at the lowest point in my life. I have lost just about everything. And walking in front of a truck was something I considered two years ago.

But I also know, time goes by. And things get better.

Bad times don’t last. Tough people do…

Very good advice, and a true survivor's way of thinking. Ive been there, went through 8 years of absolute hell, thought about ending it every hour of the day for nearly a decade. Im very, very glad I didn't.

This is a great topic that I know i personally need to address.. high stress load high cortisol. Ive beenndealing with injuries and extreme hrs at work for the last 5-10 yrs. But recently things are on another level.. ive always been very upbeat, and to be honest felt like no matter what happened I would bounce back stronger and better than ever.. maybe its because ive alwaya had a strong relationship with God.. but this last year and most recently the last few months have been extremely hard. I feel mentally broken and stressed... from work just screwing me over for the last time to my wife wanting a divorce... seems that when th3 walls come crumbling down dam they fall hard...
Anyway..
Back in the day we use to take supps to help control our cortisol from stress.. a real good one i recall was lean extreme....
ingredients were. This.
1. Original 7-OH FormulaThe initial formulation was designed to control cortisol, minimize muscle breakdown, and retain muscle mass while dieting. Its core active ingredients included:7-OH DHEA (7-Hydroepiandrosterone): A non-androgenic metabolite of DHEA used to help regulate cortisol and thyroid function.Green Tea Extract (EGCG): Provides antioxidant support and thermogenic properties.Phosphatidylserine (PS): A phospholipid that helps curb the body's cortisol response to stress.L-Tyrosine: An amino acid precursor to neurotransmitters that help manage stress and focus.
2. 5-AT Updated FormulaWhen the cost of 7-OH DHEA spiked, the brand released an updated iteration to maintain the supplement's cortisol-managing effects.5-AT (5-Androsten-3b,7b,17b-triol): Another DHEA metabolite known to assist with immune response and cortisol regulation.

not sure about how this will address severe anxiety.. . But figured I mention it .... now you have me looking for something for myself...

Lean Xtreme is good stuff, especially the first couple versions with 7-OH.

It's gonna sound cliche and lame but the absolute best thing I've found is time immersed in mother nature. Surfing, snorkeling, kayaking, hiking, etc. The Japanese have a practice of "forest bathing" where you just go out into the woods and just kinda hang out. Meditation helps too. The more industrialized the world has become, and especially the more tech-saturated it's become, the further and further away we get from our natural state of being. It's good to give your brain and body regular doses of the environments it was meant to live and thrive in. Also, put the damn phone down sometimes. (No, the irony of me typing this on my phone is not lost on me lol). Just go sit on your back patio or balcony or whatever for a couple hours and leave your phone inside. Let your brain get bored, let your mind wander a bit, give yourself a break from the dopamine hit addiction of modern tech. Do that a couple times a week. Multiple studies have also linked this to a measurable improvement in IQ scores and critical thinking skills. All the better if you do it with friends and family.
