So the extended portion of my life - or my next level of torment depending on how you look at it is going better than I thought it would. I'm less than 3 weeks away from my first meet back I mentioned it a couple time in other threads but thought I'd see if anyone had any good vibes to send over this way for meet prep\day. Training has gone so much better than I could have ever imagined it going. The struggle to not hit max attempts was the hardest part. There were several times that when performing the top sets for that day I would re-rack the weight to verify the correct weight on the bar it because it felt so light. Before I went away for a bit I was struggling with my hypertrophy days and hitting 146 sets of 6 caused all kind of issues. 144 was just flying around like a warmup set today. Top lift today was a 182.5 after warmup and 3 sets of 6 with 144, I hit my opener of 162.5 like butter and top lift of 182.5 was candy! I will unlikely add much more strength in the next couple weeks but even if I stay right here I'm projecting a 195 third, just 2.5 off my all time PR in a lower age class and 2 weight classes up, so I'm fucking siked!!! Living in a gym has its up and downs, but this just feels good. Anyhoo...
 
I haven't done a lift meet in almost ten years. I'm planning on doing one in October. Talk about nervous.
Fucking awesome! You doing full power, I'm guessing you'll be atleast squating? I miss doing full power but with my back I have a hard time lifting my ass off the bench squats and deads are not gonna happen. I also miss equipped lifting, but I still have flashbacks. I need to juet get under some real weight and get over myself!

I'll be doing full power. Goal next year is to squat 600 in comp.

I was never a good squater or deadlifter, I'm to tall, to far to travel, LOL. My max bench equipped on stage is 615, sso I know how heavy that is. When are you starting to prep? Will you be running a log here or anywhere to follow? I keep meaning to set one up but never do.

I post my lifts in our telegram. Squats today were 440x5, 430x5, 430x5, 430x5, 455x3, 465x2, 475x2.

Well that didn't go as planned. I'm not dead so there's one positive... Opened with a light 165 and it flew!! I know if my opener was easy I would jump to 182.5. Right at the transition point I stalled and needed to really grind it out. I thought I was done for the day and didn't think I'd even get the next minimum jump of 2.5 and was going to bail on it, but opted to grind it out anyway. FUCK me it fucking flew!!!!! I have been doing this for a long fucking time and I have never come back from a grind that was that hard to smoke the next lift. Based on the speed of the 3ed I'm betting there was a minimum of 190 that would have gone up.

Anyway, that's over not on to dropping under 220 pounds and seeing what I can put up there. I'll have elite classifications in 3 weight classes then and can enter nationals if I chose to no matter my weight.
