For those that get TRT from your PCP, how did you find a Dr. that would prescribe?

I am 46 and my levels are in the 500s. I tried to get on TRT when my Primary Doc referred me to a urologist, but since I am over the 250 "minimum", she wouldn't do anything.
My current doctor is actually closing his practice. I don't think I exactly get to just interview a bunch of doctors and ask "Will you prescribe TRT for actual symptoms of low-T, instead of following the huge range of "normal"".

I can't afford to use a clinic and pay a couple hundred a month.

Just go to a clinic, bro. I had the same issue with two different doctors in two years. Clinic ran my bloods and I'm at 370 now (first doc had me at 420, second at 450). Cost me $215 a month for everything.

With test in the 500s only a longevity clinic, which is very expensive, will prescribe. Otherwise, you just need to purchase it yourself from one of the vendors here

500's does not scream out a need for TRT. And most reputable Dr's wont prescribe for that level. If you want to be higher and go chep then you are on your own.

Sorry, this $215 was for a 2 month supply, so approximately $107 a month. Seems really doable.

So to be clear, initial test put me at 415. That prompted the doctor to refer me. The urologist did a more comprehensive panel that put me mid-500s.
I'm nervous about just doing it on my own. I guess I'll just need to do some research.
So, for those that just do it through vendors, what do you tell your doctor?

Can you not swing $200 or so dollars every few months? My one vial should last me two months approximately. My cost was all labs and supplies included, even follow up labs.

Shop around and don’t settle for just any Dr, find one that works for/with you.

I have different Dr’s for different medications.

Hey Dr who doesn't understand or support hormone treatment, I'm doing just that outside medical supervision and its technically super illegal so please label me a drug user in my medical records and color all our future interactions in a negative light and also give me a verbal tongue lashing.

Say nothing unless you're going under anaesthesia. If you're self treating then self treat, why involve a Dr who didn't understand or help you to begin with.

If you want to impress your doctor, ask for a statin, SSRI, and a bp med at your next visit.

Try goh4m.com for a good clinic that might be in your price range, no cost initial consult.

Started off at my doctor and my test was in the 200s on back to back tests and was able to get a prescription. Started Andro and nothing, then moved to shots. Went from 60mg to 140mg and my levels were around 800ish.

Eventually got on a 1x a year testing frequency to I just supplement my blast cycles with vendors here and then make sure I roll off for my annual PCP visit.

I pay my TRT doc, Dr. @Marathon $35 for a 2 month supply. He running a special right now $350 for 10. Thats like 5 months worth at 200mg a week.

Talk to one of his assistants @Cypher or @Meetketchup to schedule your free consultation.
