  • Do you heat your compounds before injection? (e.g., hot water, mug warmer, baby wipe warmer, etc.)

30G 1/2 inch.

I started heating recently with a coffee warmer like people here suggested for shots that might be more painful and it really does help.

Personally I prefer 27g 1/2-5/8 for delts, lats, and pecs. 27g draws faster and easier which also makes for a smooth injection where I don’t have to push so hard on the plunger like I have done when using 29g pins.
I always warm up my injectables by filling up a cup of hot water then putting them in a zip lock bag to place in the cup for about 5min. Just pulls and pins easier and I think warming it up to near natural body temp helps to disperse the oil in the muscle when you rub it in post injection.
For glutes I still use 23g to draw and 23-25g 1” to pin. For me it depends on the volume for the glute. If it’s more than 2cc I opt for a 23g to inject and if less than then I’ll go with 25g.

If I'm over 1cc I can only use a 27g needle if I have good leverage on the plunger. Like quads or sometimes glutes. IDK weak hands, but I can't push a 2.5/3ml syringe down with a 27g needle.

Under 27 is a harpoon now ? Lol
25g does not go in as smooth as 27g to me its a harpoon. 18g would be like sticking a straw in your muscle.

I prefer 27g 5/8, I feel like 1/2 creates depots to close to the subq tissue.

I mean a bigger pin won’t feel as smooth as smaller one. I’ve pinned with everything between 22 - 31. Long time with 28s I just prefer 25g at the moment. Once you got some scar tissue build up the smaller pins simply don’t cut it.

I haven't gotten to that point yet, thankfully I discovered my calves. The most I've injected into them is 1ml but I could easily do 1ml into each side twice a week.

I'm sure in a few years things will change though.

I thought calves were supposed to have a ton of nerves and veins and really hard to inject

They do have too many veins, I nick them a third of the time, but mine are big enough to where I have tons of spots to inject.

I don't know about nerves though, I havent hit one, I always go in from the side.

I was hitting them 7 days a week with yk11 for 4 weeks and twice a week with test cyp for the last 8 weeks

That's, to me anyway, a lot of volume for a 27 and I don't use enough to warrant 3mils anyway. I tried it once just for gits and shiggles and came to the conclusion of 🖕 that. Maybe it was the brand of syringe but it was hard to push like you said.

Yeah, a 27g just slips in so easy tho
