How’s everyone’s cholesterol levels doing?

Cut carbs. Often the culprit.
My nutritionist told me that so I tried carnivore. Lost a good bit of weight pretty fast but my strength went to the wayside. Can't do it. I gotta have some carbs but I did cut back. I told her I primarily eat beef, chicken and rice with fruit and vegetables here and there. She didn't like the here and there part. 😂 🤷

The diet in your state usually is 50-100 g a day until it is under control and then monitor and adjust. But I am not a physician. you could have something less common but this is a common type of issue in your average person, overweight, not so great diet high in carbohydrates little exercise. That's not you but just saying, it's common and the fix is pretty much there same even with your genetics I would think. Interesting that your father has the same issue. How is his health.

He passed from cancer several years ago. Don't feel bad you had no way of knowing. That was my "real" dad. The.one I call dad is in better health than me. Eats right, exercises, gets in his cardio etc. I've given him advice before on his protein intake and training, so has my youngest sister. Anyway, that's a twisted up mess of a long story. My "real" dad passed his bad genetics to me. Familiahyperlipidemia, vascular/heart issues and cancer. Oh joy. He didn't try to do anything about it. I refuse not to.

You might have me and the OP mixed up. Nonetheless, we do have a similar situation.

You're right. I did mix and match.
