What’s up gentlemen

I’ve been tracking my macros for about a year now and it’s really helped me lean out and put on some muscle

My question is when tracking macros , how do you calculate macros in meals w multiple ingredients like chili, pasta or beef stew ?

90% of my meals are home made and simple… fruits , yogurt, eggs, grilled chicken, lean ground beef or turkey, white rice, sweet potatoes etc

However a few times a week we’ll make a healthy chili w beans, bone broth , lean ground beef etc…or a beef chunk and potatoe stew … but I have no idea how to calculate those macros since it’s all mixed together and would be difficult weigh with the added fluids (bone broth, crushed tomatoes etc) included .

Thank you

i just add the individual ingredients into my macro tracker. keeps it simpler.

if cooking for family ill make two batches, one with mine weighed and tracked and theres however.

at the same time thats why i dont do that, because its a pain lol.

Thanks man… yeah we typically do those family style w like 5-7 lbs of protein plus the extra ingredients

I’ve been basically guessing while I track those meals … but I know it’s not accurate

I use cronometer and just add each ingredient to a custom recipe then set the serving size

When I make a large meal for the family I weigh each ingredient seperately and enter it in my macro tracker. Then I weigh the whole dish when it is finished. From there you can do some simple division and weigh out a serving to hit your macros.
