Andrewgen_Receptors' First Competition (Prep Log)

SB Labs
You can keep making pot shots behind a computer screen all you want, but one of us was 100% compliant these last few months despite having every reason not to be, while the other dropped off the face of the face of the earth.

I'm still locked in. Are you?
I'd talk more shit to you in person than I am behind my protective computer screen. You just made the best progress of your life in the past 8 weeks. The one week the scale goes up, you fire your coach, pull out of the show, and make yourself look like an idiot again... This is a cycle with you. Notice how when things get hard, you quit and people talk shit to hold you accountable. Then when you are actually showing up and putting the work in, you make progress, and everyone is supportive and patting you on the back. We all want to see each other reach goals that we set.. Hard to support someone who literally can't do a single thing they say they are going to. And you've had every excuse to not be 100%? Really? You think you are the busiest person in the world? You think you are somehow special? Like everyone else on this forum or every other bodybuilder out there doesn't have the responsibilities and daily obligations that you do? The sooner you understand that all of us have lives too, and make progress regardless, the sooner you'll stop bitching out when your head hurts. We just do what we say we are going to do, and magically make more progress than you ever have.

Good luck with your "metabolism". We all know how this is going to play out, as we've seen it 100 times so far.

If you have questions on my progress, you can go to my log and look at my pictures. Better yet, follow along so you can see what happens when someone actually does what they say they're going to do.

🤡 Keep clowning! Please keep us up to date on your metabolism.

Damn dude
For someone who talks this much shit, you sure don't handle it coming back to you well.

Okay so we're pushing the show back to Dec 6th and taking a few weeks to try working calories back up in the meantime.
This will be a long shot no matter what, but I'm gonna give it my all.

Calories back up? But why? What was your deficit and how long were you in a deficit? How much weight did you lose over time?

Hire a new coach and reschedule the show.

I've said this in posts above, which could have been seen if people weren't

:)
Good luck on the rescheduled competition. I don’t think you need to give up the dieting at this point. You lost 20 pounds since May. Your metabolism is not fucked. See it through.

Man, so many people showing up only when I fail.

I wonder how many will be here to congratulate me when I finish my competition.
I’ve already told you I’m going to eat my words the minute you finish the show lmao.

I agree with @Meetketchup ’s statement dude. You get in your own head. That’s literally 99% of prep past that like 8 week out mark. As @WheyMoreTraps I was texting him probably 5 times a week “bro you think I’m behind?” “I’m lean but I don’t think I’m lean enough” it’s part of the game and why we have coaches.

Well, everybody relax.

I'm going to help Andrewgen to see what we can do.

Looking over what he sent me, I DO think he's in a less then stellar point for this time in a prep. Hed be 7 weeks out at this point, doing almost an hour of cardio every day and his food is, what I consider, pretty low, even for 7 weeks out.

Now, I think this is from not being prepared to prep when he started a prep possibly? Already 15 weeks into a prep, when you're not ready to prep longer doesn't mean better a lot of the time, it can be worse since you're trying to spread out that calorie deficit over such a long period of time (22 weeks?) and, you don't have the calories to play with to make it that long unless you're being pretty strategic with your plan.....

Now I did suggest to him that just keeping the fat burners in and going forward is the route I would suggest. They were just added, and 7 weeks out things change fast. You can also do some things with the calories here and there during that time to possibly help since they are so low but, it's not going to be fun. (Prep is never fun)

I didn't think the idea of 3-4 weeks down then starting again would be a good plan since there's not much you can do in that time period to make a big difference in how much food you can add in while staying lean enough to not backtrack. This is what he decided he wanted to do though so, I'll throw a shot and see what happens.

I told him no gaurntees and this approach wasn't what I would suggest but, we'll try it and see.

You need to listen to Monte, buckle down and push.

You've been missing training days like crazy. Then on ones you're hitting you're constantly not being able to do something. Training is half ass so results will be half ass.

It's 7 weeks. You should drive hard as hell and see where you are in 5-6 weeks and then decide what to do.

If you've never been peeled, don't have a ton of muscle, then calories have to get low and cardio will get high. You bullshitted too much early in prep and here you are.

You can't act like you're on my side or here to help if you only show up when I fuck up or miss a goal.

You can try playing it off all you want, but that's your only interactions with me for years.

It's fine, I do better when I have people rooting against me anyways.
You must just read what you want to read then. I've literally been praising your success the last 8 weeks. Like I've already mentioned, you've made the most progress in the last 8 weeks than I've seen you make since I signed up for a forum. Thats not me throwing shade either. You actually buckled down, and stuck to the plan (until you didn't). But it showed when you did. I've stated multiple times how much better you are looking week to week. If you have selected reading comprehension, that's a you problem.

And all these people aren't just showing up.. The've been watching. And now that you've bitched out for the 100th time, they are giving you what you need to hear. You feel like everyone is rooting against you, because thats the only option you've given everyone. We aren't, but again, whatever you want to read.

I honestly can't believe any coach on this board would touch you as a client. You are lucky as fuck that someone is ballsy enough to step up to the plate.

Now again, round 101. Make it happen cap'n.

Already off to a stellar start I see.. Fuck dude.

@Montego, you are a brave soul! We are praying for you.

you're 11-12 weeks out at this point and you don't have abs yet. I'd think you are pretty far behind. Are you going to do this show regardless just to have the experience, or move to a different show if you aren't ready in time?
You remember saying this?

You were right.
We tried hitting it harder and it didnt take. Changes didnt happen. Not only was i behind at 11 weeks out. I was REALLY behind at 7 weeks with no progress made.

How long do you stick to an approach that isn't responding to inputs, and a show date that you CAN'T make?

So I rescheduled the show. Just like you (and others) suggested, or prompted.

I didnt quit. I postponed and got a new plan so I could do what I set out to do.

You're right, though. You don't only come here to give me shit. Sorry I said otherwise.

When you tell people you are reverse dieting, it gives the vibe that you are quitting. Reverse dieting isn't part of a a prep plan. Building a metabolism doesn't happen in 8 weeks, let alone 3-4 weeks. I'd get that out of your head and take your new coaches advice.. He knows 100x more than you do.

Just like ketchup said, hand your free will over to Montgo and be a good boy. In the end, it will be more than worth it for you.

I have stayed silent for the most part but threw some questions at you that I had hoped would get you to look a little closer at all of this.

I asked how you were going to be motivated a couple of months out when you kept the “not feeling it” thing over and over in your posts. Because if it is tough four to five months out, no way will you persevere eight weeks out. And ESPECIALLY three weeks or less out, when your true mettle is tested like never before.

I also asked about who was coaching you, hoping you would look closer at that, because that guy was an idiot. But you seemed to have faith in him…then.
If you make adjustments over a four week period, less than three months out, but nothing “takes”, that is not a red flag. It is a skyshowof bright red flares and rockets.
That is IF you are doing PRECISELY what you are told. A big IF.
So now you’ve fired him too.

I these conststant ice baths. I guess you don’t believe all the studies that say it hinders growth?

The drugs! It is obvious that you are of the belief that the drugs are important and a big part of the prep process, so you pile them on in hopes of making the prep more productive. Instead though, you are really just piling on more reasons to fail.

I see that Montego is attempting to help you. I would normally remain silent here and not interfere with him or his clients.
But he is someone I consider a friend. Someone I respect immensely and I think you will just waste his time. He has a lower threshold than I do for bullshit and he, like me, does this for the love of the game. Not money.

I said this in private months ago. You won’t do a show. I will take a wager from anyone who thinks I am wrong. If you do a show, it won’t be to be actually competitive, it will be to prove me and others wrong.
I have been at this far to long with way too many people and personalities to be wrong here.
Hopefully I am, but I doubt it.

I would suggest someone like you bail on the contest and shift to just a general focus of getting your shit together. Because what I see in this entire thread is the polar opposite.

Good luck man. I have no hate in my comments and assessment, only reality and candor.
You need it much more than “You got this, bro!”

I think you’d be surprised at how many people want to see you succeed. Just because you’re getting some tough love doesn’t mean people want you to fail.

I’ll be honest I’m your #1 hater and not even because I don’t like you. You seem like a good guy, genuine, kind hearted but you’re soft and weak minded. You and only you can change the way you handle this which will then allow people to eat their words and respect you or continue to question your commitment. Remember this, a man is only as good as his word and so far you’ve shown your word is no good.

I refer to this alot but let me remind you that you’re not the first person to get negative feedback. I was fucking mauled in my log by the same crew that grew to respect me, I hope. @Valdosta @tbda and others straight up called me out and instead of “saying words” I “did things”. I had to decide maybe it wasn’t that they hated me but it was just what I needed to hear at the right time.

I've seen on forums that some people feel like the only way they can help others is to constantly try to degrade and ridicule. The whole break em down before you build them up. Like Full Metal Jacket shit as if THEY are hardcore and on point.

That bullshit doesn't fly with me.

Like you said though, the constant negativity from jerks who only comment when you fail should definitely give you the fire to prove them wrong.

There are some good points being made. Rise above the obstacles, at least a few of the recurring ones.

Good luck bro.
