Just for whoever needs to here this.

If your struggling with getting to the gym or doing the cardio or staying on your diet.
Ya its hard sometimes but not as hard as dealing with the regret of not getting it done.

The feeling of accomplishment at the end is a better feeling than regret and disappointment.

I started doing fasted cardio every morning besides Thursday and doing that first thing sets my day.
It sets my attitude. It puts me in a better frame of mind, I'm more positive the list goes on and on.

When I don't feel like it I remind myself that the feeling of accomplishment at the end is going to be the icing on the cake and it motivates me enough to get it done

Stay strong fam!

Get you shit done and stop being lazy

I think we have all been there at one point.

For me, recently I have been struggling mentally ta get there. I just got off being sick, may have been COVID but really don't know for sure. I ended up losing 16lbs in a single week. My strength...gone, my size...gone, my stamina and endurance...gone, my drive ta get to the gym.....nearly gone. I have realized that as I get older its so much harder to get back were you left off after and absence.

I will get there....eventually. I just gotta keep pushin' through. Motivation is slowly returning.

I love riding the stationary bike while posting here and watching live concerts from 80’s metal bands. I did close to a hour on level 11 for the past 3 days. It feels great to sweat out all of the toxins.

Keep at it . Glad to hear you got over what ever it was . I just ran into the same issue and got over “it” about a month ago…. Totally threw me off track … anyways back rolling again. I just read somewhere a quote on here about motivation and that you don’t need it to get thru things and I couldn’t agree more . Just push thru . Don’t let motivation or lack of be an additional piece to battle….keep at Itll come back good luck !

I haven’t been to the gym in like 2 weeks, problem is when i get off work around 7pm, I get to the gym and there 100 people in there and I can’t get on shit, bunch of high school kids come in 3-4 deep, take turns on a machine or bench and they on it for an hour, or people put jackets on machines and walk around do other shit and leave the machine alone and come back every 15 mins, my gym is ridiculous, I’m changing gyms as we speak

Go before work. I have the same issue working day shift so I go at 1am. You’ll never catch me at the gym after 5PM unless late at night for the same reasons.

Well said, as Jocko Willink would say; Don’t give in to short term gratification.
He has this story that hits me every time. You’re tired and can’t function? Good. You didn’t get the promotion at work? Good. Your wife left you? Good. These are the things in life that will bring you accountability, and without accountability one will never change. You really don’t want to hit your morning cardio? Good, fucking push through to become unbreakable.

Same thing happened to me. I lost 12 lbs in under 2 weeks and I didn't really stop eating. It was very strange. It started 4/1 and I'm just now feeling about 80%. I gained back 4 lbs. Negative for COVID. I'm pretty sure I got it from my granddaughter that came in sick from another state. She tested negative for COVID, flu, strep, RSV so I don't know what we had. It fucking sucks though. I don't recall any illness I have had where i lost so much in such a short period of time. I dropped that much from a surgery once but that is catastrophic. I had not been sick in 3.5 years. Walked through everything. Then this thing knocked the piss out of me. I still have what sounds like smoker's cough and I do not smoke.

Get another gym brother. Or get passive aggressive. Or get aggressive before you get kicked out after you signed up to another gym.

I took a little time off which turned into a long time off and it feels amazing to be back at it. I still haven’t even jumped back on but I’m gonna post a “comeback” log in the next month or so.

Great message though. We all experience it at times but I always go back to Eric Thomas’ motivation…
“Pain is temporary. It may last for a minute, an hour, a day or even a year. But eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If quit, however, it’ll last forever”

For me Its all about just putting one foot in front of the other. Sometimes I can't see where I'm going but as long as I'm taking the next step I know I'm going somewhere and that's better than being stagnant.

I also am very good at using my own feelings as fuel for the gym or to motivate me.

Some one mentioned about still getting it done when you have no motivation and nothing that usually motivates you works, no music helps no feelings inside ignite you.

But you still get up and get it done.
That's where the magic happens. That's what separates the winners from the losers.
That's when you're going to find out how fucking bad you really want it.

Didn't check in this morning when doing my morning cardio but I did do it.
Was 30min behind doing it 530am not 5am.
Got another hr of cardio after work to do today.

Hope you all are staying focused!
