E.J.D's 75 Hard log

Today didn't go as smoothly but I won the day regardless. Day 4 down!!
No day is smooth always hurdles and boundaries..you won the day 👏 great stuff here..
There a saying I heard recently I like,
"If you do what is easy, your life will be hard, but if you do what is hard your life will be easy"
Anyways I want to look further into this program.

SHOWING UP IS NOT ENOUGH
AndyGram

A lot of people think they can just show up...

Go through the motions...

...and the results will magically come with time.

That’s not how it works and many many people waste their entire lives thinking it does.

You may think you can show up to the gym every day and get in great shape...

You may think you can skim through 10 pages of a book every day and become extremely intelligent and skilled...

You may think you can complete your to-do list at work and build the career you want...

But unless you are executing these tasks with the proper INTENT...

You will never get wherever it is you're trying to go.

Ever.

Success isn't just about what you do...

It's also about HOW you do it.

If you aren't executing with proper intent every day...

All you're doing is coasting through life checking boxes ... which is only gonna get you more of what you are already dissatisfied with.

Execute with the proper intent in everything you do...

...and you will accomplish more than you ever thought possible.

Intent is the X FACTOR….

…in everything.

Day 5.... Let's go win the day!!!
Current weight. 283

The only lesson my Dad told me growing up was do the hard side first. It applied to changing spark plugs but I adapted it to everything in my life. Do the hard stuff first. Then everything is easier. Do the hard things nobody else wants to do. So doing hard things isn't something I'm afraid of. That's a good quote you used.

This is a breakdown of the program

Day 5 tasks complete except bedtime progress photo. Mentally feeling strong. Overcoming the Bitch voice by ignoring it or politely saying Fuck you Realizing instantly that I need to act, do, not think or listen to that Biotch. Physically feeling kinda beat up. My left knee is getting a bit cranky, my lower back left side has been overly tight before I started the program. Just a minor hiccup.

Brad Lea book is really good. The first couple of chapters alone are worth the purchase of it. I've watched many of his Dropping Bombs show so I'm not a stranger to who he is. Believe I'm 76 pages into it. Might be time to consider the next book to read. Have a few in mind. Started listening to this classic
Thanks everyone for checking in and commenting on the thread. I truly appreciate all of you.

Day 6.... Current weight 281.8
I feel like shit. Heavy chest, runny nose, congested. That's not going to stop me. I will not be a excuse for anything. My lady has been sick for a few days. I think she has Covid again but she thinks it might be pneumonia. Which she's prone to getting. She has no sense of smell or taste which leads me to the vid conclusion. My plan of action is vitamin C load. 5000 mgs to start then 1000 mgs every 2-3 hours. I embrace the challenge...

KEEP THE PROMISES YOU MAKE TO YOURSELF
Let me ask you a question...

If you had a friend that constantly talked about what they were going to do … only to never end up doing it at all…

What would you think of that person?

Would you trust them?

Would you believe in them?

Would you have confidence in them getting shit done?

Would you be genuinely happy with that person overall?

No … you wouldn’t.

Which is why you feel the way you do about yourself.

If you constantly make promises to yourself, but never follow through or execute...

Do you really think you're going to feel confident?

Do you really think you're going to have self-belief?

Do you really think you're going to be happy with yourself?

Every single time you cut corners and refuse to uphold your standards and promises...

You're going to feel like shit.

You know deep down what you're leaving on the table...

Which happens to be the exact reason why you're not happy.

If you truly want to be a happy and confident person...

KEEP THE PROMISES YOU MAKE TO YOURSELF.

That's it.

Self-esteem, self-worth, self-belief, and confidence are all skills that you earn through keeping these promises and living up to your true potential.

It's these skills that will ultimately lead you to a place of happiness and fulfillment over the course of your life.

Take the time and effort and build yourself into someone you trust, love and are loyal to in all the right ways.

In the hardest times of your life … it’s gonna be just you…

Make sure you become someone that you can count on.

Starting tomorrow February 1st I'm starting my journey with 75 Hard. Andy Frisella"s program to develop mental toughness and discipline. It's NOT a fitness program. With that said physical training and mental toughness go hand and hand. There are 5 critical tasks that need to be finished every day.

#1. choose a diet and commit to it. That means zero cheating on the plan you choose and zero alcohol.
#2. Drink a gallon of water a day
#3. Workout twice a day for 45 minutes. One session must be done outside.
#4. Each day, read 10 pages of a non fiction/entrepreneurship/personal development book
#5. Take a daily progress picture. Recommended to do before bed
If you fail to do any of this tasks you must start over. Back to day 1. Zero compromise . This program is designed to be inconvenient because life's inconvenient.

My diet/eating plan will be intermittent fasting with low carb/keto diet.

@E.J.D.
Interesting concept. I agree that the mental and the physical go hand in hand. Curious if at some point this could branch off into the metaphysical aspects of life?

I cannot answer that at this point. It's possible it definitely can branch off into other aspects of life. It's a deep question that I'm not equipped to answer right now though.

No worries brother. I beleive that the metaphysical will aoways guide the body and mind, even when we do not relaix=ze that it is. This is definitely a concept that few can recognize nonetheless accept. Keep me informed brother

Absolutely.. will do..

DO THIS WHEN YOU FEEL TIRED...
February 06, 2023 . AndyGram

How many times have you used “I’m tired” as an excuse to skip out on doing what needs to get done?

If you're being honest, it's probably way more times than you'd like to admit.

But if you're somebody who is looking to compete at a high level and win big in life...

Do you really think your competition is stopping to take a break every time they get tired?

Fuck no.

Here’s the reality…

We're all tired.

The only difference is some of us choose to grit it out while everybody else packs up and goes home.

If you can't learn to push through and execute...

No matter how tired you are...

You are going to get your ass handed to you by everyone else who does.

So ask yourself...

Are you really going to settle for a life that's much less than it could be just because you're tired?

I didn't think so.

Instead of taking your foot off the gas every time you get tired...

Train yourself to completely drain your tank, then push for more.

If you learn to do this … you'll have no problem getting where you're trying to go

Day 7. Win the day!! Current weight 283.4
Today's focus is act, win, dominate. Even though my body is beat feeling. I can't let that bullshit get in my way or slow down progress.

HAVE THE COURAGE TO LOOK IN THE MIRROR
January 06, 2023 AndyGram
Society has become the judge, jury and executioner on how to live life.

Anytime anyone does anything we have a whole army of “do nothings” trying to tell you how to live.

You should be doing this…

You should be doing that…

You shouldn’t do it this way…

If you know all about living life … then why does your life look like a dumpster fire?

Maybe … you should shut the fuck up, look in the mirror and ask yourself: How are YOU living YOUR life?

Every single one of these people … when you put the mirror in front of them … what do they see?

Nothing.

You know why they see nothing? It’s because they won’t look in the mirror.

They are too busy booing and criticizing from the stands to ever actually get in the game.

No different than the high school MVP of the big game critiquing the play of an all-star Major League player.

It’s loser shit.

Plain and simple.

It seems society has forgotten that not everybody wants the same things in life.

…and just because someone is on a different path than you doesn’t make your judgement of them correct or noble or accurate … or anything.

More than likely it’s a projection of one’s own failures in life.

Understand that just because people aren't living like you doesn’t mean they’re living life the "wrong way"...

They've just decided what drives them and what doesn't...

No different than you.

Instead of worrying about how everybody else chooses to live their lives...

Look in the mirror and focus on the vision you have for your own life.

That's the only thing that truly matters.

Live YOUR life.

Who gives a fuck what others do with theirs?

If people took the criticism they are quick to lay on others and applied it to themselves their entire existence would begin to change….

…but you have to have the courage to look in that mirror.

97% of the things we worry and stress over, never even happen. Ditch stress with a quick MINDSET shift — and go from "what if something bad happens?" to "what if something GOOD happens?” Winning begins in your mind

I’m on day 9 of my second time on the program. My feet are killing me! I had a couple surgeries January 5th and one was on my foot. So I was off them for 3 weeks prior to starting 75 Hard. Anyways, my outdoor, afternoon workouts the last 2 days have just been Power walking because my feet hurt so bad. But I’m pushing through and should be back to jogging for the majority of the 45 minutes in a couple days.

What have you been doing for your afternoon workouts lately?

I can understand why your feet hurt. Definitely would be painful and unpleasant. My outside workouts have been a variety. I live in a rural area with hills. So I have been walking up and down the road up a hill then down wash and repeat. Then I walk back to my driveway. I then make laps around my driveway that has a incline then decline. Then I reverse the side I start on. This goes on for about 25 minutes. Then I have what I call a station set up further back on the property. I have a cinder block that I curl with. Do a set with each arm then walk around then back to the station and repeat. Gives a variety. I also have a 40lb pellet bag that I pick up and walk across the property to a certain spot. Drop it. Then pick it up and walk back to the other side. I will do this 4-5 times. Yesterday I brought out my bands and did a shit ton of band work. I have a decent layer of ice below the snow so I have to be careful walking around. I've almost faceplanted a few times.

Bando, feel free to share how your 2nd time thru is going in the thread. Any thoughts, insite, wisdom. I would like to hear it

Very nice! I live in a rural spot too and have several acres. I would like to have a better setup for training and I will eventually. It’s nice having the space and options at least.

Day 7 up..... Day 7 down. I did fall a bit behind on my water management and reading. But knocked it out. I think a key to getting the gallon water in is. Budget your time effectively. Drink some every hour. I try to knock out the water portion in 9-10 hours. Won the day...

Day 8 has arrived. Win the day is the mission. Current weight 281.8. feeling stuffy blah blah blah. Yesterday experienced brain fog and felt like running in mud going nowhere. I chalked it up to being under the weather. I forgot this is usually around the time when carbs are cut down that it happens. It shall pass in a few days.
