Ok so lately I find myself getting really irritated at all these dudes at the gym that stare at themselves non stop while working out. Listen I get bodybuilders need to look in a mirror but even those guys aren’t as bad as some of these regular Joes. I mean I’ll glance at myself once in awhile. It’s human nature but I just saw some dick wad get all butt hurt over some dude being in between him and the mirror. Wtf? Am I the only guy that this bothers? Maybe I’m just jealous because I hate looking at myself and they are comfortable with just staring at themselves all day.
 
You’re not the only one this irritates.
What bothers me is the groups of guys that wear their short shorts and stand in front of the dumbbell rack flexing their tiny quads and monopolizing equipment.
 
If you walk between me and the mirror during my set, don’t be surprised if I “accidentally” drop a dumbbell on you. You can fucking wait 30-60 seconds until I’m done to get your DBs off the rack in front of me.

If you are making duck lips, pushing out your ass or lifting your shirt to admire your abs, don’t be surprised if I walk in front of you to grab actual weights.

I try really hard to not get betwen people and the mirrors DURING their sets, even if it is a machine 3 meters away from the mirror. I walk around to the back. But if what you are doing has nothing to do with working out, fuck off.

I glance sideways at the mirrors as I am walking between sets. Love looking at my thick ass sexiness. But never at the expense of another patron though.
 
I like to look at my self in there mirror to make sure my form is correct. Doesn't bother me when some one gets infront of my mirror.

I was talking to my buddy about this this the other day. The guys who always stare at themselves, Flex in the mirror do all the stupid bullshit are the guys that shouldn't be doing it. Skinny fucks with minimum muscle. And the guys that are huge, lean and built don't do it all.

I kind of get it tho.. when you start making gainz you think your a god. Flexing in every mirror as you walk by. Keep grinding for a few years, you will look back at your self and think you were such a faggot lol

And the big lean dudes are checking themselves out, be sure of it. But they aren’t being total cunts about it. Just more skilled.

Plus, if they are looking in the mirror, they aren’t jamming up a bench or machine. These last two weeks I have seen more than a few people “claiming” 3+ machines. I am usually ok with finding alternate exercises but lately have been tossing their towels against the wall.
I told the owner that he might be getting complaints about me but he seems cool with it as he knows it is a breach of gym etiquette to lay claims all over the gym.

I get so pissed about the mirror watching that when I catch a glimpse of myself in the little mirror I hung in my gym shed I punch myself in the mouth. It’s involuntary at this point. Just a natural reaction…

now working on your “o” face is a different story. You don’t want to look like your having a stroke when your seeding some lovely chicas fresh eggs… do ya?!
 
I couldn’t tell you what anybody else in the gym is doing or where they’re looking, I’m too focused on pushing each set to death and then trying to recover. As long as they’re not in my space I don’t care.
 
It’s too much sometimes but I try to focus on my workout, what’s irritates me more is when some nerd is wasting time on the equipment I want to use, it’s fine if you’re weak and dumb looking but if you’re on your phone, leave your shit and walk away or something else that makes me wait it really makes me pissed.

BUT claiming multiple machines at once is a huge issue for me.

You can't possibly be on more then one machine at one time. Physically it isn't possible.

If the gym is dead, then knock yourself out. However, when it's busy, fuck that shit. They can work in with me.

Hate that shit… I’ve seen girls using two benches at a time to do some kind of hip thrusting shit when there is literally a line of people waiting for one to free up…
 
I agree. I had two dudes come up to me this morning wanting the seated bench I was using. Wanted to know how long I’d be. Meanwhile these two shitbags are working at two other stations as well. I looked at him and politely told them both to go fuck themselves and to come back after they were through taking up two other stations. Fucking Cunts……

What does bother me and I just said something to a couple of high school was to tell him to set the dumbbells down and not to drop them . They were benching and just dropping the db’s , I gave them two times maybe it was the last rep and it was an accident but when they went up in weight and he just dropped the 75 from his waist instead of placing them is when I got mad . There was a female personal trainer and her client like three feet away and every time they dropped them you could tell that it annoyed them so I told them to knock their shit off and sit the damn things down .

i can’t stand abuse of the equipment. I’ve jumped peoples shit for that. At the gym I go to you get fined $15 per dumbbell you drop on the floor or get banned. We also have crash pads for dumbbells.
 
Man I wish I could hyper focus like that while lifting. I can’t help but to watch the other people sometimes when I’m in between sets. Normally I pace in between sets cause I can’t sit still or I people watch. I’d definitely prefer to pace but some things I just can’t ignore. I will admit though I let too much shit get under my skin that really has nothing to do with me. It’s weird cause I use to be able to focus and turn shit like that off but now I can’t slow my mind down enough to be productive on much of anything.

I've been flexing alot more lately. Alot of fatties at the gym lately. They love seeing the gun show.

I see a fattie on the phone sitting at a machine ill pull my pants down and flex my abductors. There mouths start watering.
 
How do you place the 130s and heavier down gently though? I get if you're doing RDLs or something but you have to drop them somewhere from a db bench.
 
If anyone at my gym picks the 130-150s up, reps those mfers and then shows me how to let them down easy, then maybe they can say something about dropping the weights

I would classify it more as a slow descent. Controlled sorta drop then a just “fuck it” type drop.

IMO I try to not let stuff bother me. And if someone is doing something stupid I let management know.

Let them handle it. Bc if I get going? Cops come and I am the “wrong” guy and get banned.

Seen that happen more then once.
 
Is it really a mystery, the difference between dropping heavy ass dumbbells the last couple of inches or feet and the cunts that basically toss them when done?
Good gyms (gyms that even have DBs greater than 100s) have extra mats just for the purpose of controlled dropping.
So five guys total in the gym can use 150s but because one cunt abuses them and break, never to be fixed, it’s ok?

I have no problem telling someone to knock off the abuse of equipment. If some asshole is making a big show yanking cables and crashing stacks, I certainly tell them to stop because I want that machine not only available to me the next time, but for everyone else.

I managed 5 big ass fitness centers in the early 90s and walked people to the door several times, telling them to fuck off. No refund.

I get it. I drop them as low and slow as possible but the big ones are still gonna make a loud thump and shake the ground a little. It's a tough one and unless the staff helps you get them into and out of position, I don't think they can be too mad about dropping them out of position
