Bible Thread

Here's some of what we can expect near the end, according to Jesus. It will be tough to say the least but we'll endure.

You will be hated by all nations because of My name. Then many will take offense, betray one another and hate one another. Many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. Because lawlessness will multiply, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be delivered. This good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed in all the world as a testimony to all nations. And then the end will come.

Gold is a great investment until it isn't. I think we will hit a point in the USA and everywhere where gold will become worthless or close to it. Starving people don't need gold. However until that happens gold increases in value. What items do people need when the supply chain breaks? Toilet paper? LOL. ammo, fuel, food, water, filtration, land? What can you barter with? alcohol, tobacco, seeds? I'm not sure yellow metal will mean much at the end.

^ This. Reduced to eating bird poop because there wasn't any other food. Remember the price gouging that happened at the start of covid? Green beans selling for $6+ on amazon per can? (That one still burns me.) We're still seeing significant disruption to the food industry. Scripture already warns about putting your trust in worldly things like gold. On the other hand, we're supposed to provide for our families. The person who can't take care of his own family is worse than an unbeliever. It's a fine line to walk between preparedness and faith. Do what you can to provide for your family, but be prepared also to have to rely on God.

If it's truly the end, you won't be worried about your investments providing a return after it's over. If covid taught us anything, TP will be invaluable for bartering and might even be worth more than gold, pound for pound. :p

That's why I have land . I can hunt,plant and gather. Always make sure you can eat. Not to mention they aren't going to make more land so in the long run it's a great investment

amen. Wish I had more. I could support my family on what I have... when things go real bad, people get really desperate. I was rethinking things and I think a crossbow, compound bow and a recurve bow would be invaluable at that point. And a community full of like minded people to defend the territory.

Kind of lost my motivation in Reading this week and even the gym.

Last week was super stressful and I think I just am burnt out from everything.

Anyone ever feel like that?

Anyone wanna give me an idea of a very short reading (chapter and versus that might inspire me to get back on track?) Would be appreciated.

I read a proverb on IG that I found very cool. I meant to save it but I cant recall where I found it or precisely what it said.

Sometimes if I get bored of reading I will look up quotes on IG. Im the type of person who is more of a visual learner, then someone who learns from reading.

Man I’m dealing with this exactly right now, at least with gym stuff, but I’m off cycle so it’s to be expected.

Not a specific verse, but the book of Ezekiel is very interesting, especially his vision of God Himself. Dig into that

If you watch the Presidents speech until the end you will hear him mention that they are very close to a peace deal with the Palestinians as well. This is huge.

check out the Bible project ! You can stream the books and have them read and explained to you. Audio bible, put it on when your taking a shower, in the car, or working on things around the house. Also, helps when your trying to get kids to understand it enough to at least make up there own minds about what they believe.

The Bible Project ... I think it’s on YouTube but I think you can view videos and audio on there main web page. It has all the books and does a decent job of explaining it (including biblical definitions)

it doesn’t have any of the Apocrypha on it tho (you know, the juicy books that don’t belong in the Bible because they’re mostly catholic propaganda lol) still fun to read... check that out too if your bored.

im fascinated with the story of the watchmen and the nephilim ... book of Enoch.... I know I know ... it’s not technically a bible book... but I know you like conspiracy theories (like me) and it’s fun to read and think about.

Enoch is an entertaining read for sure. But I think that's all it is...entertainment. I agree that it shouldn't make the cut and was probably 100% fan fiction. There's a couple of verses (or more) that are completely opposite to the rest of scripture.

I like to go back to John or Romans when in need. If a person only knew those two books, they would have the fundamentals.

I honestly don't know where I stand on people having dreams or visions that are directed by God. I have no idea who this fellow is or what his previous dream was that he had the guts to share. Sounds like he got lots of backlash for. I can see the images he was describing actually happen but I don't know where I stand.

He mentioned something at the end that did trigger something I struggle with. He mentioned get ready for the testing. Now my personal struggle at times with my faith is I feel like it's for lack of a better word a game. A game God plays with his believers. Kinda like we are the horse and the apple is being dangled in front of us. We pray, read, believe , call on his name, quote his word to him, for extended periods of time and either nothing happens or usually the situation gets way worse. The book of Ezekiel doesn't help either. which shows God will allow the devil to rip everything apart in your life and take it to the breaking end point then step in. To test our faith.
God who gave us life, knows our future and paths, knows the number of hairs on our heads, gave us free will, wants a personal relationship with us but will test us excessively at times to prove our faith in him while we are showing him daily that we believe in him. Who we have not seen. It just feels to me like a game at different points in my life.
Anyone feel free to express your thoughts. Am I thinking way off. Am I missing something I haven't thought about. Thanks

I would even say if you don't understand John and Romans you likely understand little about Theology. Romans is a masterpiece letter that has huge implications. John sets the foundation.

Did you mean Job losing everything? Just wanted to clarify.

To me, the testing of faith usually comes as needed or naturally. God already knows what you are capable of. But a person needs to know what they are capable of. Just like the young prince that Jesus told to give up everything and follow him. The guy couldn't do it. Most of the tests we experience in life occur in baby steps though and aren't quite so drastic. We need to learn we are ready for the next level.

What I will say is that I was visiting one of my sisters last week. Now she is also Christian but she is a medium, meaning she has a gift whereas she can tune into the spiritual realm and even dead people. I have seen her do "readings" on others and literally has made them sob bc of her accuracy, and she very often can even tell me things that I have done or experienced or will, that no one else can, and it has always been 100% accurate.

Kind of can give you the creeps.

But this past weekend she said she was very concerned. She said something big is coming in October. Something big is going to happen and shes worried for Americans. She couldn't expand on it yet but if you watch this guy he is also suggesting October.

We also heard from another friend of hers that something is coming in October and something to do with Children.

I found this strange to be coincidental from my sister who I trust with my life and then this guy although I do not know him, I do believe he is telling the truth , that he had this dream.

Makes me consider that maybe something truly is going to happen.

She has enough of a worry that they are stocking up on food, meds, water and ammo.

I will keep u guys updated if I hear anything more.

You can add my daughter to your prayers, if you’d like . We are being “tested” again, that’s for sure. I’m thinking it’s time for me to get on the straight and narrow 100%. It’s the least I can do I suppose.
