Why does winstrol/anavar/other compounds 'dry' you out?

I understand these are non aromatising compounds therefore they will not give you the bloat dbol gives you for example, but is there a specific mechanism? because many of these compounds do not inhibit E2 and would increase it slightly if anything considering they can reduce SHBG therefore more free test to aromatise. Is there a specific pathway/mechanism? I have a modelling shoot in 6 weeks and was wondering if a small dose (10mg) of winstrol (one of the driest compounds) would be worth it for 'debloating' my face as I hold a little bit of water there despite having my E2 in check (@500T/w) (I am already low bf if that matters).

Any compounds you guys recommend to 'dry' out my face aside from AIs ( I absolutely don't want to tank E2) (also would prefer not to use diuretics)?
