One of myt favorite old masters. I keep sections of it as my desktop background at times. Guy seemed out of time with his style.

Another one of my favorites: Titian. Mater Dolorosa. 1500s.


My copy. Work in progress. Haven’t touched it in years. Oil
on board. Close to actual size. One day I’ll get back to it.
Also, color matching. Pigments have changed. I have some
authentic historical pigments that I can try. Some dried
cochineal bugs I can make Carmine with. Madder Lake and
so on. No Lapis Lazuli though. Stuff is pricey!
