I know most could care less but for the past few years the government has been paying the farmers NOT to make hay. They are paying so well almost no one around here can say no. Basically imo they want the small time farmers to either buy feed from them or better yet cause the small time guys to get rid of their beef cows all together which again would lead to the government controlling all the beef.
Anyway normally I trade with the nearby farmers for Hay. I cut down there fields and bail the hay and they in turn get great fertile fields. Win/win right. Well this year most sold out so I had to go and buy hay retail. Normally worst case in PA the big round 1000lb bails usually go for around $100-$150 a bail retail. Well not no more!!! I just fucking had to pay north of $500 per bail. I needed an additional 35 bails to make it through the winter with 30 head of cattle.
There’s no fucking way a small time beef guy can sustain that type of fuckery on price. Really appreciate the government we have. It’s just so fucking great. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🖕🖕🖕🖕

Btw I’m not whining. I’m just really struggling with understanding why we are supporting a government that is deliberately killing our country.

One of my wife’s uncles plants soy beans and various other crops In Mississippi. He said the government tells you whether or not you can plant on certain fields, and he gets compensated for not using that particular plot. He thinks it’s BS as do I. IMO not producing something that is needed can be detrimental to the economy and just outright raise the prices on crops that are in short supply.

I agree, that's fuckin bullshit and the only thing they are doing is trying to shut down the smaller guys, buy the bigger ones and control everything. The government is most definitely not our friend. Control over everything is what this government today is about and if we keep on they're going to have it and that's not going to be good for anyone.

If he wasn't getting welfare (AG subsidies), he could plant whatever he wants. He's choosing welfare, therefore government gets to control his crop rotation. Not trying to be rude, it's the truth. He signed up for it.

And they're definitely trying to make meat so expensive we'll eat Klaus Shwab's bugz or Bill Gates' fake meat.

Those are Facts and it's happening more and more because the government is relentless especially when they want something. If that doesn't work they'll just take it like they have been for a long time especially in other countries. Gates and Schwabs entire blood line needs to be erased completely imo as many others as well. Another Civil War is the only hope we truly have imo

That just wrong! No reason to be gouging the small time farmer who needs hay.

Some people are not aware of these things like how it effects the small farmers and support certain governments because they think there decision is right. Example. If you hadn't made this post I would not be aware of how had you are struggling with this cost increase for hay. I’ve lived in the city all my life and have never been exposed to farm life.

Fake meat is disgusting! Never will I eat that shit!

I agree with you 100 percent. He outright owns all his equipment and works on all of it himself. He’s the only one who plants and farms his land so I guess that’s why he lets the government tell him and pay him for not planting on certain fields. IMO it’s so that he’s guaranteed that money if he doesn’t get the money from what he produces.

Pretty common, it's been going on before Trump or Biden. There's websites somewhere I seen that gives a breakdown on on the payments to individual farms. I worked for one of those farmers as a kid and I was pretty disappointed in the farmer when I seen how much he got paid for like 7 years.

This is how I know our gov is broken. This should be an easy fix. Your rep and Senator should take to the stump, get some media drummed up, and pass a bill.

But they never do that.

That’s horrible!! Those fuckers are seriously trying kill off the middle class and make everyone dependent on them and their poisoned beef, poison drugs, etc. They want us all to be low testosterone, compliant, beta male bitches, and fugly-ass pig women who could peel the paint off the walls with their hot Cheetos farts!
If you’re in Pennsylvania can you make a deal with the Amish community to get hooked up on hay? I bet the Amish don’t sellout to the government?

Maybe start a CSA (Community-Supported Agriculture) to help to mitigate some of the costs.

I grew up Amish and they definitely don't sell out to the government. That would be your best option right there. Promise you they got hay. lol

I just drove accross country this summer and passed thousands of hay bails, its sitting all over the place across amaerica, how far are you looking

Things like this have been going on way before Trump or Biden.

Don’t see it at all around here tho.
