Straight razor or safety razor. What do you use and why

There are so many ways to shave these days. Classic razor, safety razor, straight razor, electric, cartridge.
Everyone has their own routine and their own reasons.


I am curious to hear how you guys choose. Is it about comfort, skin health, tradition, speed, or just what you are used to


For me it is simple. I use a safety razor and I stick with it. Good control, clean shave, no drama.

I use straight razor and one with a guard, some spots Ike above my lip, this one spot cuts me everytime no matter what without fail

I just use Philips one blade 360. Face and body.

I’ve been using this since it first came out in 2006, and I used to use the HeadBlade quite a lot as well.

Man, the amount of money I’ve poured into skincare and keeping my face and bald head protected.

I hear ya. And that Pro Glide is the icing on the cake the way it swivels.

I trim beard clippers, str8 razor around the neck and so..
But body,well i have used many,
Manscape sucks
Phillips was prob best,but have used few others..most razors or clippers dont last long..
Speaking of which im hairy mess right now,thanks for this thread

I had this one for awhile... It shaved well and close... Getting the angle right is a learning experience which was difficult every time... So I went back to my Schick titanium razor.. way easier to use...

With that said I've really been looking at this Henson Razor... Fixes the angle issue... Not cheap but one of the best I've heard...

I use a combination honestly. I have a safety razor for the large areas like lower neck and upper cheeks. Clippers for grooming length, and then Phillips foil shaver for touch ups
