Should I forget about gear for now?

Maybe its time to do a cut even if i dont end up running test right now. I figured id bulk throughout the rest of the winter and cut in the spring, but I could do it now. I'm pretty burnt on eating so maybe thats the cue that its time for a cut phase.
I’m 65 and I trained in spurts from the time I was 20, sometimes getting pretty strong and I gained 25-30 pounds of muscle over a 40+ year period. All natural. I started TRT at 64 and pretty quickly added in some compounds. I have leaned out pretty well and gotten stronger than I have ever been, even at my age. My advice is to get lean and train smart and see what you can do before you jump on the juice. Get some lab work and see where you are before you manipulate anything.
 
This reminds of me a Seth feorce video I saw a while back. Pretty much states "steroids will fucking kill you". Once you can accept that your journey begins!
 
It might help to think about everything that goes with a cycle and how fucked it can be if you aren't prepared. 300-500 test is serious for a first cycle, that's gonna feel like going from clark kent to superman and lets faced it once you've felt like superman, clark is never gonna be good enough anymore. have you thought about the ancillaries your gonna need with that? How sensitive to aromatase are you? Are you gonna have an AI on hand or you gonna use a SERM or have both just in case? lots of questions you should figure out before your 500 test deep and don't know what to do to manage you estrogen
that is the biggest reason why I'm considering it and why I'm not considering it. I'm torn between wanting to experience that (and knowing full well once i do it, I probably wont ever come all the way off) and knowing that like you said, once you go there, it cant be undone. and you wont be satisfied with ever being natty again. I always liked the quote : "I'd rather regret having done something, than regret having not done something" or something along those lines. Thats really the reason why I posted this thread. I want to know from experienced guys, who did this shit the right way, with a solid base and a true love of the gym , not just wanting to "get big fast" or "get shredded" like alot of fools do, is it really worth it? Like is the enhanced life and what it brings you worth the downsides?

I have a strong desire to do it, to take it to that level and see what my body can do. Maybe not yet, maybe its not time yet. I do think it makes sense to do TRT when I'm older, but thats still quite a ways off.

I was in my 30's when I started gear and I knew I was gonna do it at least 5 years before that, it was just a matter of time once the thought was there. Most of the downsides are gonna be dose dependent, this lifestyle isn't a sprint unless you want it to be over quickly. 250 test c is gonna be more than most doctors would give you for TRT and more than enough to change your life in the gym and you can get bloodwork and figure out how you tolerate that and go from there. As far as worth it or not, were still here still doing it.

I get that. But, I'm a strong believer in a test only first cycle. One new compound at a time. And for test only he should lean out a bit for the best results. Leaning out is tough. If you can lean out I feel like the discipline to run a cycle successfully is probably there.
makes sense i do get that. some people aromatize hard some don’t. If you add multiple compounds you don’t know which one is effecting you which way.
 
Have you stopped making gains?
In the end no one else cares about how you look. If you are happy with you continue with what you are doing.If you want to see where you can go with anabolics then give it a try.
I lifted for many years and made gains naturally. The added in gear. At some point the gains start going away. So do what you want.
 
I know you are trying to help and that's great, but the Anabolic Doc is terrible. I've had clients over the years who have dealt with him and let's say it's not good. Much better resources out there.
I think Anabolic Doc tries to be overly cautious with what he puts out.
 
this is the best pic i have on my computer right now. its from last spring when i was around 220-223 roughly. now im about 230 so Im a little bit bigger with roughly the same body comp, probably a little less bodyfat now though.
look damned good for nat---i think you should stay away if you can---if you do i would make it low doses of only test---have you tried creatine?
