Lee haney just posted they should split two open divisions one for the guys who are like 5 8 to 5 10 and the 511 and over because of the differences in Nick Hadi Derek compared to samson regan Andrew all the taller guys who carry 280 270 pounds differently what's the vets opinion on the topic

absolutely retarded idea. Got 212 for a reason. Go ahead and blur the lines between divisions even more.

How about they focus on less fuck ups from the judges?

Ya there's already to much going on with it they fixed the classic situation I think at leAst

If they can have 15 women's classes including the newest "fat model", then splitting open into three classes isn't ridiculous. They don't make 212 compete with 280 so why make 5' 3' guys compete against 6' guys? I agree that the way they carry the muscle is different.
I just saw an IG post with a dwarf that has a physique that looks like any top Olympia contended. If you think Shawn looks silly next to Andrew, put the midget up there.
Point made.

Yeah and nobody watches women’s bodybuilding. Long, boring, and stupid. Like the WNBA.

So there’s that. Lmao.

Between Hadi' Exxon shoulders and Dereks soggy biceps and lumpy armpits, it was hard watching two oil filled midgets place 1 and 2.

Right… but is that a good thing?
The only thing good about all these women classes where they push their clams out to the audience is that it kept bodybuilding from dying. It is still all but dead except for the top shows.
They just had the SF Championships and nine, that’s right, nine total bodybuilders showed up for all classes.
There were 21 competitors in Middleweight Novice alone in my first show.

But adding classes help the men too. It wasn’t long ago that Men’s Physique aka Men’s Bikini brought bodybuilding back in popularity even at local levels. All those guys skipping leg day now got a chance.
The overgrown, ugly physiques that Open guys are now is the reason they created Classic, which is now the most popular category. And it has now started to settle into it’s own after years of growing pains.
They have a 212 for a reason (which was 202). The AAU, a federation which has the “Mr.” Title for winners, something regularly misused, did height classes only. Because height makes a big difference.
Ask any tall bodybuilder how difficult it is to put on the slightest bit of visible mass.

No thanks on splitting the open class into heights. Terrible idea.

If you step on the dais with a guy 5'6" and the same weight, you are not going to be very happy. Even if you are peeled beyond belief.
Yeah, I’m aware how that works haha. Size is always what’s being chased at this height, endless pursuit. Just gotta love the process 💯

5 ft 8 and below
5 ft 8 above
This sounds good
Midget bodybuilding needs to have a check

Interesting idea from Haney. It would definitely change the dynamic of open bodybuilding.

Interesting idea from Haney. It could level the playing field, but I also see the concern about potentially diluting the open division.
