Sam Sulek FINALLY ADMITS His STEROID Usage

21 year old Sam Sulek has recently gathered a large following rather quickly on social media due to his body transformation. He has just signed with Hosstile Supplements and Fouad Abiad but his contract has been surrounded in controversy. He has also been under scrutiny by Phil Heath, Greg Doucette, myself and others in the […]

He says he has used gear. Nothing new here. What is the big controversy about his contract. I have heard nothing from Sam or Fouad about that. The details i am sure an not all public but can't say any pro's complete contract details are either. That is just normal.

Jon Bravo has a lot of good videos on it. One nasty clause in the contract essentially says that Hostile athletes can’t go on other podcasts without Fouads permission. Also lots of NDA’s so the athletes can’t even really talk about their contracts.

This is ridiculous. God forbid someone gets a little shine time and starts making money and everyone wants to point their finger at them about what they’re doing wrong. Greg and Phil get on their little podcast and talk about his drug use and how he’s never mentioned it and how he needs to address it to the public.

Guarantee that once these kids hear his dosages and compounds they’re gonna be out there blasting the same stuff at 16 years old. I mean all he had to do is drink chocolate milk on YouTube and you got hundreds of kids waiting in line with a gallon of chocolate milk to see him.

The people trying to call him out have no idea how bad it would make things in reality.

I hope Sam makes as much money as humanly possible and Fouad can suck a D. Can't stand that tool.
I agree. Fouad was charging fans 40$ for Sam autographs and I believe Kevin Lavrone was signing autographs for no charge at the same expo. Most of the top pros would never make a fan pay for a signature. Don’t forget the 200$ supplement bundle to ā€œskip the lineā€ which was really just another long line because so many people paid it…

That seems pretty normal for many/most athletes contracts. When athletes contract with one news/media group( in any sport) they are usually nor allowed to go on other news/media groups to help that group make money. That is just business. And most all such contracts have clauses to limit details coming out that is SOP. It is in the companies best interest. That is just business. Nothing controversial or surprising about it at all. Businesses write contracts in their favor. Athletes jobs are to get the most they can for them selves. I did the same thing in my work years. It is just money i don't get emotional about money or business. But trying to stir up controversy whether there is some or not gets clicks.

I get that to an extent but this is the first I’ve heard of it in bodybuilding. Most of the pros I follow are all over the podcast circuit, except the Hostile athletes.

I think Fouad's job is to make as much money for his company that he can. That is just business. I have been around BB since the 70's. Pro's get paid for their signature is nothing new. Some do some don't. If a person doesn't want to spend the money they don't have to. Other then the athletes ego about winning a show or doing well it is mostly all about businesses and profit it is not about just growing or loving the sport.

And how many of those athletes have signed with a big name company that has their own media source. Back years ago when Joe 'Weider ran his empire he did not allow his athletes to be in other magazines. Same thing with athletes contracted to tother magazines. Been that was for decades. Nothing new to me. Many athletes self promote so they can do as they please. If you were paying an athlete would you want them to be helping other companies get more brand appeal by being associated with them and cutting into your revenue?

When Sam signed the contract with Hostile, any limitations on his outside media content were disclosed. Hence, it's on Sam to abide by whatever those limitations were. However, limitations for doing outside social media/podcasts/etc for sponsored pro's/personalities are NOT very common in the industry, which is why many perceive Fouad as a douche.

people just like to moan.. sam seems happy with hosstile and turn downed many offers from other brands... so idk why trippin over nothing.. if sam wanted to leave he would of a long time ago... hosstile is a sick brand and it would be a dream to be sponsored by them imo

Sam seems smart and looks long term from what i have read. Fouad was there before he exploded and was supporting Sam so maybe Sam is loyal. Or who knows what they may have talked about for his future. Fouad was going to make a supplement line just for one of his guys think it was Nick but then he bailed. Fouad has talked about going into other areas besides BB.

The difference is that we do not live in the Weider era and that such business practices do not make sense (or are not well accepted) in the world of social media, that is why such contracts will be criticized and in the long run, Fouad or whoever uses them, will have to resign if he does not want to lose popularity and money.

But the same thigs have been going on since then. Nothing new and it is still happening. If some people didn't know about these things then they were ignorant. and that is not an insult as ignorance just means a person didn't know something. How many Nike athletes are allowed to wear other manufacturers athletic clothing, shoes. I think you will notice zero do. Contracts have limitations. Most top pro in and out of bodybuilding have it in their contracts they can't do reckless activities as they may get hurt and that would cost the company money. I say good for Fouad if he makes money. I am not a touchy feely guy business is about money. I always made the most i could. I don't blame others for being the same way. I have been way over paid for some of my jobs but i took the money and laughed all the way home. I support you to stop buying his products if that is how you feel. Doesn't change my mind any as i know how things are and how they have been. Business is just business. If Sam thought he was being ripped off he could go else where. Fouad has let any athlete leave that has wanted to. As unhappy athletes do not make him money.

I don't know what you're really talking about and I don't care too much about the ins and outs of these matters, but I do see that most bodybuilders will give interviews to various media, regardless of whether they have only 1000 subscribers or not.

If someone bans their athlete from sharing with other media they are being a dinosaur and it makes no sense in modern business practices.

You talk about Nike, come on man, you can't pretend bodybuilders have the same limitations as major league players because they don't make the same money.

Branch Warren was injured when he fell off his horse, I don't think Muscletech banned Branch from these types of practices, although it is certainly in the athlete's own interest not to engage in dangerous activities and I'm sure most dont. Heck, even I try not to endanger my physical integrity by doing dangerous hobbies..
