Who all in here does it? Where have you all been?

I'm trying to decide on where to go next.
I have a Jeep Wrangler, been to Kentucky road the entire DBBB. Took me 3 trips there to run it completely.

Any serious off roader has to go to the mountains. Not the hills on the east coast. Real mountains.
Moab is is in the works for this year yet. I'm also researching areas in Colorado. Kentucky has some pretty wild areas wild enough that you're going to need 35s minimum, lockers and a winch. I hate mud so Kentucky is 75% rock and water crossings at least in the areas I've been at. The whole loop is about 1000 miles now.

Utah, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, California, Colorado, are all great. Anywhere that you can get away from people to wheel is great.
I'll say this. I drove down a trail and went back several weeks later and my tire tracks were the only ones on the trail. Nothing beats the remoteness of the west.

I'm pretty far east from all that. I'll have to make sure I set aside enough vacation time to get over that way. Right now DBBB, Drummond Island, ozarks are between 5-9hrs away so theyve all been in my radar. Next year Ill have 4 weeks to play with so I plan on spending 2 of those weeks in Colorado and Utah.

bought my son a jeep and we took it to pismo beach so now I want my own jeep to offroad, got the bug
It's definitely addicting, and expensive lol. I've got around 10k with of upgrades sitting here next to me that I need to install this winter.

Moab and Utah are closed.
The hell they are not.

Utah is the place to go. I go on a few weeks worth of trips a year. I camped around 6 weeks last year. Nothing beats camping out miles and miles away from the nearest person. The quiet, the nature, the darkness of the night sky. It’s marvelous.
