Hey guys, I am 25 years old. Currently 290 lbs (mostly fat). Been dabbling in the gym for about three years. Started taking it seriously a year and a half ago when I hit the 400 lb mark. I've managed to drop over 100lbs in fat while doing strength training with little to no cardio. Diet is obviously on point. I've been considering a test cycle to speed up the process of losing fat. Any suggestion or advice would be greatly appreciated. Ive been doing research but have not managed to find any info on a situation like mine. Thank you in advance
Situation like yours.... Check out my log in my signature bro. I started the same place as you.
My advice - Do NOT jump on the gear wagon yet!! This is my honest and straightforward opinion.
1. After I lost my first 100 pounds my endocrine system took a dump and I was placed on TRT. I should have just stayed on TRT dosages until I was physically ready for gear. I dabbled to early and did not hurt anything by doing so but also did not gain anything that couldn't be done naturally.
2. I tried compounds way too early and did not get the full benefit from using them.
3. Upping your test level will help the process but noting you can't do naturally in the same amount of time with hard work and a strict diet.
You will hear about orals like Anavar and Winny being great for cutting fat. This is true if you are already 15% or sub BF%. I have ran excellent grade Anavar and saw great changes in areas where I am lean suck as Arms / Traps / Delts / Calves and upper Chest. But lower pec area / stomach / thighs saw little to no changes.
I highly suggest getting to MAXIMUM of 20% BF (lower would be better) and then consider jumping on the gear wagon.
If you are DEAD SET on running I would suggest the following.
1st Cycle - Test at 250 - 500 mg MAX a week for 12 weeks. NOTHING ELSE. Make sure you have QUALITY AI's and PCT meds on hand for any issues that may arise and that you have an absolute solid PCT so you naturally rebound.
If you do this and stick to a solid diet and training schedule and are interested in going further hit me up at that time and I can give some advice on how to proceed further for guys like you and I. I have gone through lots of trial and error with learning about my body.
Best Regards and congratulations on making a change that will not only improve your life but increase the amount of years you get to enjoy life.
Lunchbox.
Onward through the fog...
