Hey guys, I am 25 years old. Currently 290 lbs (mostly fat). Been dabbling in the gym for about three years. Started taking it seriously a year and a half ago when I hit the 400 lb mark. I've managed to drop over 100lbs in fat while doing strength training with little to no cardio. Diet is obviously on point. I've been considering a test cycle to speed up the process of losing fat. Any suggestion or advice would be greatly appreciated. Ive been doing research but have not managed to find any info on a situation like mine. Thank you in advance

Welcome!

you may want to repost the question in one of gage other sub forums (anabolic,ic zone, for example), as they get more traffic.

Test has some crazy fat burning abilities when combined with cardio and calorie deficit. Definitely check out the other sections

Don't look for a shortcut. Look how far you've come already !
you are still young with high natty test, and it will increase with the more fat you lose. Focus in learning about diet, and training and push yourself..... You say you've managed this with little to no cardio!! Well, add that Into the mix.
Also, higher BF means more propensity for estrogen related sides, and if you pump test in and shut off your balls, you might not be feeling so hot.
Train insane, diet, ADD CARDIO, keep pushing and wait on the roids....DONT SHORTCUT...it will pay off in the ling run

First off, congratulations on the commitment to change and the discipline to get to where you are.
I Agree with hardcore. Another 6 months to a year of serious Training and diet modification to get you significantly further. Then you will be ready for a good test cycle and you will make serious physical changes. Prepare your body and train it properly before your first cycle and the transformation can be astounding. Good luck.

Situation like yours.... Check out my log in my signature bro. I started the same place as you.

My advice - Do NOT jump on the gear wagon yet!! This is my honest and straightforward opinion.

1. After I lost my first 100 pounds my endocrine system took a dump and I was placed on TRT. I should have just stayed on TRT dosages until I was physically ready for gear. I dabbled to early and did not hurt anything by doing so but also did not gain anything that couldn't be done naturally.

2. I tried compounds way too early and did not get the full benefit from using them.

3. Upping your test level will help the process but noting you can't do naturally in the same amount of time with hard work and a strict diet.

You will hear about orals like Anavar and Winny being great for cutting fat. This is true if you are already 15% or sub BF%. I have ran excellent grade Anavar and saw great changes in areas where I am lean suck as Arms / Traps / Delts / Calves and upper Chest. But lower pec area / stomach / thighs saw little to no changes.

I highly suggest getting to MAXIMUM of 20% BF (lower would be better) and then consider jumping on the gear wagon.

If you are DEAD SET on running I would suggest the following.

1st Cycle - Test at 250 - 500 mg MAX a week for 12 weeks. NOTHING ELSE. Make sure you have QUALITY AI's and PCT meds on hand for any issues that may arise and that you have an absolute solid PCT so you naturally rebound.

If you do this and stick to a solid diet and training schedule and are interested in going further hit me up at that time and I can give some advice on how to proceed further for guys like you and I. I have gone through lots of trial and error with learning about my body.

Best Regards and congratulations on making a change that will not only improve your life but increase the amount of years you get to enjoy life.

Lunchbox.

Onward through the fog...

You need to get bloods done first. Also look at your diet again just cause you think its good I am willing to bet it suxs.. I thought mine was good and it was crap. I would just start with a AI first since you are young and natural test you are propally high on estrogen. High BF% will make your estrogen high.

I think you need to stay the course until you exhausted all options prior to using AAS. One problem with using test when you have that much bodyfat is estrogen can be very hard to control. I was 24% BF when I first started and I had to run Aromasin at 50mg a day to keep estrogen under control. Not sure how hard it would be for you but if you are 35% BF I would imagine it would be hard to control.

Fuck all that BS. I know, I've been in your shoes and I'd do it all over again.

Get some test and proviron. Do 500 mgs test per week and 50-75 mgs proviron ed. Have some aromasin on hand. Aas won't burn fat but it will allow you to work harder to burn the fat. Do cardio eat good and lift with intensity, it will work. You'll also watch your skin tighten up and your whole physique change from flabby to a more tailored look. I'm not like most though, I do what I've learned from experience.

Stay away from var and winstrol they'll fuck your lipids up. I'd recomend adrol or dbol for a chubby guy before those two compounds, adrol or dbol will keep your strength up a lot better and allow you to also work harder. The bloat from any compound is superficial, the goal is fat loss and the water will go away on its own if you get much if it at all.

Get some good supps like fish oil, coq10, NAC, zma, and some bcaas. Can even add creatine if you like....again water weight is superficial.

That's what I believe works and if you want to do something.... Then do it, you'll never know till you try, just be safe about it brother!

I wouldn't recommend anyone starting AAS until at least 2 requirements are met, 1- at least 23 years old. 2- minimum of 3 years of serious Training and learning. His weight situation does not impact my suggestions. That's me.

Im with Z82 a lot of hardcore lifters will tell you to wait and not touch steroids without putting years into the gym but fact is there is no reason to wait if your willing to put the commitment in to train seriously hard, eat properly and research the compounds thoroughly there is simply no reason you cant do them now.

I done the same as you i was about 200lbs and mostly fat hardly any muscle i ordered my steroids before i gone through the gym doors. Then i trained my ass off for 2 months just to get used to using the correct form and to get a good workout set for myself. After that i cycled lost virtually all fat and put on a large amount of muscle. I came off cycle and lost about 50% of gains but didn't put to much fat on so it was a win win situation. From my experience doing something that your considering doing i can say that steroids aren't a miracle drug but they will sure give you the results of years of training in a couple of months.

All this comes with risk someone that is not used to lifting a lot then turns to lifting huge weights will be more prone to injury and joint problems but for me that was worth taking the risk on.

People go into steroids as a quick fix and i think thats what people assume generally on these forums when a new member comes in and wants to start running before they can walk. But if your committed for the long haul their is no reason why you cant exactly do it. If you are one of them quick fix type of guys that gets the results then stops training then you will simply lose all your gains and look worse than when you started.

Goodluck :)

I have to give this some merit, even though my original post is the opposite of what Z82 posted. I was low T when I was 24% BF and I flat out could not drop anymore BF. When I got on Test at 600mg a week I shed the fat like I never could before.

My only question is if the OP is morbidly obese wouldn't it be less productive using test rather than a strict diet and lots of cardio? I just question commitment if he has not dropped enough BF to really see the difference when using AAS.

OP says he dropped 100lbs without much cardio so if he did infact do that i would say hes committed enough to start some AAS. If he hasn't and isn't capable of following a seriously strict diet and exercise program then AAS will completely be a waste of money for him.

Don't think he's morbidly obese. He lost 100 lbs. That's pretty damn good dedication. His diet that he thinks is good might not be so good though... He's probably starving himself. Best bet if he jumps on aas is to hire an online coach to write you up a diet plan and training regiment......one that knows you're on a stack.

If he is 5'-10" (just a guess) that puts him in the morbidly obese range at 290 pounds. While I think you are right about test helping him I cannot help but think what complications would occur while running it. Even if he is only obese his body is under a tremendous amount of stress already. What would the test do? I don't know, I am not a doctor.

Clean diet, lots of cardio/weights. Regular blood work and have an AI...he will be fine. If he does it right he will be much better off at 250 lbs more muscle mass, less fat, could be there in a matter of a few months.

Drug Free would be a much better approach of course as with most everything. But if the guy wants to do it he's going to do it. Motivation is hard to find let alone keep sometimes in life, if this takes him there...then fuck.it...better than doing nothing about it.

I actually did get blood work done 6 months ago. No estrogen issues. Natural testosterone levels were low so my doc put me on 100mg test cyp a week. It's enought to get me to normal. With just that alone I've noticed a change in body composition. But he refuses to give me more.... As far as diet I'm intermittent fasting. But I consume 2000-3000 calories (depending on carb cycling). Mostly protein and veggies. I do consume healthy fats as well

Wait until you hit 20% max. 15% would be ideal, but 20% max. It would be disastrous to start now. Excess fat leads to estrogenic conversion of your testosterone. You don't need those sides, and you'd be getting the worst of steroids.

Add in 10 minutes HIIT cardio to the end of your sessions to speed up fat burning, then start when you hit 20% or less

That right there would be my #1 concern when telling a guy in this situation "yea run test".

That's what an ai is for. It doesn't just happen to fat guys, can happen to anyone and everyone. You guys are talking from what you hear. Let the man figure it out on his own so he can learn from experience... I did and it worked great for me at 280lbs. I know plenty more guys it did wonders for. Like I said I'd do it all over again. Its mundane listening to guys tell you what's best for you when most of them have never been. In your shoes. Most guys giving advice are just parroting what they've read. No disrespect to you guys but that's my experience.

Realistically, he would just have to run more of an AI.... If the blood work requires it, right?

Good luck. Make sure if you run it you layout all your macros and gear you intend to run so we can help you. These guys here have a lot of knowledge and do have some concerns which shows they care. Great group of dudes.

You should jus stay natural until you are 20% or less bodyfat. If you went on a keto diet the fat would just start melting off of you. At your current bf% you probly would lose 30+ lbs without having to workout at all! But of course working out would.speed up the process. stay natural, eat around 50 grams of good carbs, high fat and high protein. Lose the body fat then you'll b ready to cycle
