training at home - body weight, dumbbell, barbell, ski erg, rower, bike. Abs, chest and arms on M-W-F. Shoulders, back, legs T-Th-S. I've been doing 4 sets of 12 -15 reps (old school?). Will be switching to heavier weight and lower reps in another 4 to 6 weeks to change things up.
High altitude - 6400 feet, hiking, snowshoeing, light running.

off grid...where do you want to start? that is a huge topic! We did everything from clearing and excavating to installing the solar panels. Wood stoves for heat, 20 solar panels for power. Gen set gets used 4 to 6 hours a day between NOV and APR due to lack of sun and we use propane for the oven and instant hot water. House runs like a normal house in the city, just takes a lot more work and different mechanics.
here's a pic - 9.5 miles from a power line. 7 miles to the next neighbor.

I can't see leaving this. That's why I'm here to learn how to be better and deflect everything Mother Nature throws at me.

I love NC!! I'm in western Montana - it snows too much!!

33 inches 2 weekends ago, somewhere between 8 and 20 inches by Wednesday.
that's awsome. how much property do you have?
123 acres surrounded by USFS land. 1000's of acres of public land.

welcome. I commend you for living off grid and living the life you want. It's not for everyone and I'm sure it's massive daily chal
Hey - forgot to mention that I lived in your area for about 6 years. Worcester and New Bedford. Loved the seafood, that was killer! When I have people travelling to the area, I try to get them to go to Mikes in Fairhaven

Welcome, I'm new as well. This place is a GOLD MINE, after I put my reading glasses on...lol. I'm a hillbilly raised in the woods, if you want to know anything about chickens, rabbits or skinning squirrels hit me up.
