Does anyone do this or have you done it at home? If so where’s a good place to purchase everything? Everytime I get laid up in the hospital I come home feeling like a new fucking man. Something in those fucking bags they ain’t telling us cause man they work. I use to have a doc hook me up right after a fight but those days are pretty much gone. Don’t have the dirty doc anymore but who cares. We have the internet now. Wake up and rejuvenate everyday. That would be really nice.

are you drinking enough water, ease up on the jack daniels, cells that don't maintain their balance of fluids and electrolytes shrivel, which can result in muscle fatigue

I don’t drink bro. Nothing but water and shit like it. Understood and thanks

IV therapy is kind of a trendy thing. I’ve had a few in Vegas and felt pretty good afterwards. Not sure it’s worth the money or necessary at home.
I’ll bet you can find a center near you for an occasional treat.

most likely you’re mineral intake is are lacking, use an electrolytes powder and add actual salt with water your workouts will prosper and so will your body. its not IV absorption but you’ll still absorb them

Pink Himalayan salt really helps with mineral replenishment.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the feedback. I’m definitely lacking something. Im usually pretty good at staying on top of things but this one I’m just not figuring out why Im not 100%

Assuming the person is drinking enough water and electrolytes daily there isn`t really any added benefit to receiving fluids via IV until we look at it from a dehydrated standpoint.

If you are in a dehydrated state then IV fluids are MUCH faster (2.5 times faster) than drinking water at rehydrating.

Where most people fall short is in their sodium intake. The other electrolytes are extremely important as well but sodium is the one we really burn through the most.

On average, a person loses about 500 milligrams of sodium per pound of sweat lost during an average workout. The actual amount of sodium lost can vary significantly depending on the person as the sodium concentration of sweat isn`t the same and the amount of sweat we sweat obviously varies greatly for many reasons.

I saw somewhere that a dude in a fighting match can lose like 5 grams of sodium in one match.

Yeah man I can’t remember exactly what my doc told me years ago but it was pretty close to the amount you said of sodium loss. That’s why he use to hook me up with a couple bags after a fight. I wish I could remember shit that I learned. I wouldn’t be here constantly asking stupid questions.

It's definitely not a stupid question brother. It's a very good question actually. If it wasn't then there wouldn't be all these IV therapy places around.

I also believe that's a fairly common thing for guys to get iv therapy after a fight. I've even heard Joe Rogan talk about it.

Well it definitely was for us after a good war. Then things got weird for a minute and I would have to IV up at the hotel. I guess it was an insurance thing for the venues or whatever.

I appreciate your input bro. You know I always listen to what you have to say because I can tell you do something in the medical field. At least I assume you do.

Thanks for the confidence brother. I do, yes. Definitely not a physician but I've been in Healthcare for many years :)
