It very well could be and I am sorry you are experiencing this.
When running cycles my sleep patterns generally get worse, not better. Have been running DHB for the past 5 weeks and my sleep is for shit now......actually getting to the point that I am considering tapering off and cutting the cycle short. It sucks because I know the DHB is working because even when I am tired and dragging from lack of sleep, stress and life in general, I am still getting stronger in the gym.
What about otc sleep supplements like gaba/melatonin? It's not an ideal solution, obviously, compared to naturally falling asleep, but is certainly better for you than xanax, ambien or other rx sleep/anti-anxiety meds. 20mgs of melatonin and stop watching tv or pecking on your phone in bed, usually does the trick.
