How to Stop Tracking Macros and Trust Yourself Around Food

"This looks like a serving"

If you’re doing anything intuitively in fitness, you are taking short cuts and cheating yourself out of gains.

The suggestion that macros tracking has something to do with the degree to which you “trust” yourself around food is false.

I don’t even trust myself to guesstimate my serving sizes despite the fact that I pretty much regularly manage to eyeball the portions correctly 😂. Even the nutritionist my doctor provides is like “you know you don’t HAVE to track every last gram” to which I reply “248lbs and 30+% bodyfat proves otherwise”.

Me if I went by intuitive eating = 500lbs in 6 months.
Shit I'm the opposite, if I don't track I end up under eating by quite a bit. I guess I'd rather have it this way than the other way around, no doubt, but the biggest eye opener for me when I started tracking several years ago was just how little I consumed. Tracking has been a game changer for me in the gym and I couldn't imagine not doing it now, I feel like I'd be leaving so many gains on the table.
