How long do lyophilized peptides last?
In the freezer? In the refrigerator? In the sock drawer?
All dark, dry and relatively stable temps.

I thought it was only like 6 months in a freezer but I read about people stock piling years worth and storing in a safe.

Depends on the peptide, if it’s reconstituted or not, temperature, etc. it can vary a ton.

Your best bet it to just google storage conditions for your respective peptide, and if you can’t find anything if it’s very obscure then safe to assume just store it in the fridge and don’t reconstitute until you plan to use it.

I would add to what FearsomeCOR is saying that, depending when manufactured, lypholized powder can easily last for years in the freezer, but the termperature must be at a minimum of -20C (-4F). To do this, you should use a deep freezer for stable temperatures. Some fridge-freezers fluctuate in temperature on certain cycles which can damage the peptide. Or you have to set the fridge-freezer temp to very low. I would never freeze liquid peptides. You should keep all peptides dry and shielded from light.

All peptides degrade as soon as they are converted from powder to liquid form. GHK-Cu degrades in a few days to a week (maybe slightly more), even in the fridge. BPC-157 can last for up to a month or more in the fridge. Generally peptides with Cysteine, Methionine, Tryptophan, Asparagine or Glutamine in the sequence are much less stable and don't last as long fridge.

I don’t risk freezing simply cause if power goes out etc they are sensitivite to the freezing and dethawing process. They already store so well already in just a fridge, I see no reason to worry about it.

For what it’s worth, I asked that question to a source, he said store it in the refrigerator reconstituted or not.

I'm also curious about the situation with IGF1-LR3. How long can dissolved IGF be stored in the refrigerator?

Generalized all peptides degrade slower when refrigerated. Depending on the peptides, how it’s manufactured, stabilizers, other ingredients determine its fragility. Not to mention how it’s been reconstituted, how has it been stored before it arrived to you, etc. The true degradation rate will never be answered as theres too many variables amongst UGL unlike Pharma where there is consistency in manufacturing process, ingredients, storage, testing, and more. This question has been around for ages. Especially in regards to rHGH which thanks to Jano and his testing we have more answers but still nothing definitive. Especially considering in large that HPLC isn't capable of measuring the primary way rHGH degrades. But if you're interested theres a good amount of literature online and Jano has been on multiple podcasts talking about this topic.
