HOW DOES SCIATIC PAIN FEEL?

Sciatica is frequently characterized by one or more of the following characteristics:

  • Pain: Most people who experience sciatica pain describe as a shooting pain that starts in the lower back or buttock and travels down the front or back of the thigh, leg, and/or feet.
  • Numbness: Numbness in the back of the leg can accompany sciatica pain.
  • One-sided symptoms: Usually, sciatica just affects one leg. The ailment frequently leaves the affected leg with a heavy feeling.
  • Pains brought on by posture: Sitting, attempting to stand up, leaning forward, twisting the spine, lying down, and/or coughing may make sciatica symptoms worse.

Pinched nerves are painful, but it's good you sought treatment. To prevent future episodes, practice good posture, avoid activities that strain your back or neck, and stay active.

Yup. It takes a while to recover once you get that pinch nerve. Pain killers don't help much either. Happened to me like 20 some years ago when I used to do deadlifts. Stop doing them and never had an issue again.

Sciatica pain fucken sucks!

I deal with this in both of my legs from time to time. I need back surgery but my insurance does not want to pay for it because they think at 6'4" 250 pds 10% BF I weight to much. They want me at 200 pds. Well fuck that! I'm just gonna wait then.
