For you early risers... What helps?

Well, been going strong for a few weeks now getting up at 4am. MWF lift. TU & TH are cardio days. My "gym" is home, so I can usually get up and grab my cup of coffee and start around 415. Only problem is I am going on an empty stomach. Lift days usually takes about 1-1.5 hours as I got my wife training with me, so we break weights down, switch, add weight, until I can afford more/new/better equipment. I try to be done by 530 to cool down, eat,💉 and get ready for work.

Nice bro, you can do it if you want it. I’ve been doing a.m. workouts for a long time 4am. I don’t need anything like coffee, but I do use pre-workout about 15 minutes before I go to the gym.So yes, I go to bed early 9 o’clock is my limit. Before I go work out I eat some Greek yogurt with some blueberries, grapes and sometimes with a tablespoon or two of peanut butter and jelly and I drink a intra workout with Gatorade or Powerade or BodyArmor with a scoop of ECAA’s creatine, glutamine. I eat about an hour after my workout.

I wake up, chug my preworkout while I get dressed and hit the gym. I have found a carb shake works really well for energy instead of going to train fasted.

I wake up way too early and it’s not on purpose, lol. Hit cardio around 3am, shower, eat, leave for work. Swing by the gym, hit calves and abs, go to work, then back to the gym afterward for my real session. Just started the extra calf work, trying to bring them up. Been doing this about 3 days a week.

Shift work, broken sleep, health issues, waking up with lead in my ass quite a bit. Takes a minute to get going sometimes but what I heard a long time ago sticks in my head to this day and always will.

"Discipline starts where motivation ends".

Just gotta make it happen. It's really hard sometimes to take that first step but I ALWAYS feel better once I get going.
