For the Love of Dogs

I almost brought home a 6th dog today because of this thread 😂 place I was volunteering at has a St. Bernard that needs a foster home . Luckily for me when I messaged her , he was already fostered but now looking for a home lol

Both his parents are Doberman. We’re not cropping the ears. It does really change the “look” but I’m not into cutting off animal parts for aesthetics. I would have kept his tail too but they docked it before I had a say.

Awesome! When I was growing up we had 2 black Dobermans and 2 blue Dobermans, all 4 had their original uncropped ears. I’m with you. I would have left their tails alone, too. They were the best dogs ever!!! 🐕

It’s crazy how smart this little guys seems to be. I’m looking forward to more advanced training.

Also, I mean no disrespect to anyone:
As far as the tail and ears go, im not bashing ear cropping. On Doberman the cropped ears look menacing and I LOVE the look. Cane Corso, pits, and other bully breeds look bad ass with cropped ears. I just can’t do it. My wife won’t do it. Just a personal choice. Not cutting ballz either. All my dogs have stayed intact.

Thank you to everyone for posting up their pups. Was having yet another shit fucking day, opened this thread, and all is well again. Dogs are just that cool!!!!

Me too. They came as a set. lol, brothers.
One of them left us last October, the other has not been the same since. He’s perked up a bit with the puppy though. I think he likes having someone to patrol the yard with.

We lost three over the last few years and left us with our current 3 year old. As each one passed the others were a bit lost. The last one we got the puppy about a year before he passed and it definitely perked him up for his final year. Looking at puppies again now, but it’s hard losing so many (even though that’s the deal)

Congrats on the new addition and hope it perks up your older pup!
