So without going into a long detail about my past, I was diagnosed secondary hypogonadal when I was 20. Clomid worked for raising test but the sides were horrible and doctors refused shots and would only give me androgel that sent my e2 into the 250 range. Wound up starting shots on my own and been on for 15 years. Did some minor blasts between 25 and 30. Got divorced, lost interest in being huge and shredded and just went to my standard TRT dosage for a few years.
I decided to try to PCT mainly for fertility reasons. I was cutting on 500mg of test c until the 20th of September (last pin date) when I wound up with cellulitis from a pin and decided it was a good time to go into maintenance and start PCT.
Took a week off lifting weighing 197 lbs (needed a break and to let my leg heal up). calories went up to about 2500 (from 1800) and I dropped to 195ish. Raised it to 3000 calories and now I’m down to 194.
PCT consists of the following
HCG 500ius MWF (since July in anticipation of this)
Enclomiphene 12.5mg ED (since the 1st of October)
HMG 25 IUs MWF
Strength seems to be the same (maybe lost a rep on barbell inclines but hitting dumbbells presses for that extra rep sort of thing) and girlfriend has been commenting that I look even leaner now.
Now I figured if I was going to PCT off a bulk then I’d lose weight but since I’m coming off a cut I figured I’d gain weight on PCT. Especially eating 50% more calories (I was eating 3000 a day to maintain 215lbs pre cut).
I’m aware that test causes your muscles to hold more glycogen and water but I can’t imagine my metabolism being better with my levels tanking (i know it’ll take 4-6 weeks for the cypionate to be fully clear but at this point i should be feeling pretty shitty unless this enclomiphene is really as effective as people say).
Has anyone ever experienced a weird period of looking leaner or having a better metabolism in that sort of “purgatory” of PCT (between last pin and the fist week or two of serms)?
