I was just curious as to what is the main driver of faster aging while taking steroids.

And how would one go about mitigating it as best as possible while in a cycle.

I’ve been hearing a lot online Reddit, YouTube, friends that DHT causes it. The articles and reports I’ve read don’t seem to draw a correlation between the two. Is it just anecdotal evidence? Like when body builders only have daughter because of steroids use?

I don't give a damn, I'll be 40 in a few months. Yes, it's quite possible that I look older, but I also look more masculine, broader, stronger, and more confident. You can counteract this a little with HGH and collagen. So far, no one has ever told me that I look older, but they probably don't have the courage... haha.

When it comes to steroids, I wouldn't worry about that, but rather about keeping my blood values at their best.

Of course, it's also due to DHT. DHT is androgen, which means pure masculinization. The bigger problem with DHT for the most users here is Hair loss or thinning hair: Finasteride blocks the conversion of testosterone into DHT, but not if DHT derivatives are injected exogenously. To my knowledge, finasteride is ineffective in this case.

If you start using steroids young in your teens - 21yrs old yes it could age you especially in your face. Starting later in life 3Oyrs + not so much your body has matured.

I work with a 75yr retired body builder that's been using hgh and various PEDs since the 70s. The guy is in better shape than most 50yr olds I know. I guessed him at 60 the first time I met him. Still uses a TRT and 2iu hgh regimen. Pretty impressive I thought.

Well, we are pumping grams of hormones that turn you from a “boy” to a “man” during puberty so it’s pretty self explanatory. Your friends are definitely correct that DHT plays a large role.

It’s very unlikely you’ve experienced any serious noticable aging in 3 months. Your boy is probs just messing around.

You’ll be absolutely fine on trt and your replacement gh.

You can use use a 5ar inhibitor like finasteride to reduce DHT serum. Get it tested on a therapeutic trt dose first to see baseline. Then you can stick to some of the less androgenic compounds. Something like test, EQ, nand for a stack. It’s not personally an issue for me but if you wanted to lower androgen load in the body you could try that. On paper, DHT is more androgenic than any of the synthetic derivatives we use, including proviron and mast. So if you find yourself accidentally lowering DHT too much, simply stop the 5ar for a few weeks and use Proviron in the meanwhile. There are no permanent side effects with 5ar’s contrary to what some hair loss forums like to say. It’s hormonal and things they’re not often well versed on

It closed off my growth plates at 55. Last thing you want is to look like me at 30. Maybe 62, but not 30. I was using them in my mid 20s and I didn’t look my age. Maybe looked 19 or 20.

I've been on 2iu of hgh and trt for 6 months now. I've been told I look younger and have a "glow". That's from a little asian lady coworker who is all about skincare and curious about peptides to stay and look young. SO do with that what you will. I'd say your boys are jealous of your changes if anything!

yes and no, effects collagen synthesis, etc. there’s a lot of aspects of steroids that can “age” you. Some more than others. I think it also depends on stage of life. For example a 50 year old on trt wont age much compared to a 25 year old abusing roids heavily. There’s some great peptides to help counteract (GHK, etc) and other products like HGH, IGF, etc that can combat a lot of surface level “aging” issues. The main thing will always be the hair. And I firmly stand against finasteride and synthetic DHT blockers, they can castrate you over time.

Yeah, people all say he became ugly and I’m like well yeah listen he’s not fucking 26 anymore, he’s not gonna have the boyish good looks he used to. And in my opinion he looks better than 99% of men his age.

Cool. I’m gonna look in GH. I heard there are a lot of side effects like Carpal tunnel syndrome or is this just fear mongering like people did with test.
