I was in over 27 years. I worked many of those years with Tier 1 operators as well as in civilian life. We had many discussions about whether or not we would act against civilians or not. Across the board, we all said we would choose prison over killing our fellow Americans, the exception being some of these “Americans” who hate the country and are clearly enemies.
The threat of prison doesn’t scare someone willing to walk into a hail of bullets or stand over an IED, rendering it safe, doing something they believe in.

The problem lies with what intel we are fed. If they convince us that we are doing “god’s work” then we very well might be duped into doing something we wouldn’t if given the truth.
The other things is the incremental “death by 1,000 paper cuts” method, where our military does something that seems innocuous against citizens, then something else, then something again, and before you know it, we have been a part of some nefarious shit we wouldn’t have, given the full picture.

HOWEVER, I would say that if I was flying now & was given orders to plan & execute mission sorties over US Soil against US Citizens I'd be headed for court martial

That’s a good point. So I think they lost control of the new drones testing and they fell to low to where people can identify them. They don’t want to have to admit they fucked up and they currently have surveillance drones that can observe people at 60,000 feet. Same altitude that the concord use to fly.

These ones probably new and expensive and one day will fall out of the sky when it doesn’t have anymore fuel source left.
