Picked up a prescription again after a few years of just using UGL stuff. Pharmacy says they can only get 1ml vials now.
30.00 per ml without prescription so 300.00 for 10ml, I paid 30 for 9ml with insurance.

I got my refill on the 19 th of December and no problem getting 10 ml vial, $10 at Walgreens, guess I’ll find out in about 4 weeks.

Yep, all my TRT prescriptions were like this when I was with Kaiser.

It’s been that way here for years. 200mg test depot 1ml a week so 4 a month

Prescribed Xiromed Test C in 10ML vial but concentration is just 100mg/ml so I still use UGL :) I will switch to higher concentration test.

Yeah, I started on genuine Pfizer Depot-T in the small 200 mg vials, then switched to generic Hikma, then Hospira, and eventually went back to Pfizer.

Hikma was garbage.
wow, that’s crazy to buy US pharma and it be garbage,
I’ve never heard of either of those brands, the brand names even sounds shady haha

My labs were all over the place, and I eventually got tired of jumping through endless hoops and dealing with the usual nonsense. Insurance covered it, but I never felt optimal. Every time something landed outside the reference range, they’d panic—then the reference range would change, and suddenly my dosage was questioned again. Dealing with PCPs and endocrinologists is just exhausting; most of the time they seem completely out of their depth.

I pay $10 for 5 1ml vials.

I like having a script for travel purposes and just in case....but it's really not worth it. I'd much rather do my own blood then get dictated 2x a year

Have you ever heard of WestWard Test Cypionate? Hikma used to make it
Hikma Pharmaceuticals plc is a British multinational pharmaceutical company with headquarters in London, UK that manufactures non-branded generic and in-licensed pharmaceutical products. It was founded by Samih Darwazah in Amman, Jordan in 1978.

Pfizer’s Depo-T has always been consistent—which isn’t surprising given its origins with Upjohn and Pfizer’s continued ownership of the patent. Hospira being a Pfizer subsidiary also fit that pattern. The flipside, when I used Hikma’s products, my lab results were nowhere near as strong. The only real upside was that all the smaller vials consistently contained about an extra 40 mg 👍

yeah my script gives me the little 1ml 200mg
oils thick as shit, they just collect dust in my cabinet while I use my homebrew for my actual use.

Haven’t had that brand before.

I was paying $50 for 10 vials and then the pharmacy told me that if my dr sent in a prior authorization thru insurance then it would be free. I still prefer to use the UGL.

The few different brands I been getting is garbage and makes me break out with acne.

I was recently switched to this. Haven't tried it yet
I don't recommend it.
it's cottonseed oil and leaves a lump for me.

no pip or anything, but just seems to take forever to absorb

Hmm. Trying to figure out what I had before. Seems the switch just happened. I thought it was Pfizer but I can't find any old boxes. I don't plan on using any until in on a cruise, but pretty annoying they can just randomly change the carrier oil.

Same here. Been on trt for a few years and they always say they only have the 1ml vials. I pay $10 for an 84 day supply. Why 84 days? Who tf knows lol.

84 days is a 12 week supply. That is as much or that controlled substance that can be got at 1 time per the FDA last i checked.

The FDA policy a fews years back was that multi use vials can lead to more infections. So most pharmaceutical companies and pharmacies having been going to single use. Plus they can often charge more for them. I rarely can get 10ml vials any more and when i do i have to wait as they have to be backordered. But as the single use seem to be more over filled then the multi use i don't get to bent out of shape.

Thanks! Finally found my answer

This happens because Dr's want to treat numbers. You can't treat numbers... There's something to numbers but if you are in range and you feel like crap, then its off. Then there's the numbers, they change the ranges. Listen to your patient, how is he feeling? Screw what the numbers are showing, how is he feeling? You could have a guy who has a 1600 free test and feels amazing and the provider immediately wants to cut the dose and you start feeling like garbage again. E2 might me at 90 and you feel amazing and they immediatly want you on an AI to crush it because "Sir, you are far above the reference range. We need to bring this down." Yes, they are exhausting having to play their games of numbers.

I have a friend who gets his script from Walmart. They are 1ml bottles as well. His MD told him she won't prescribe him a 5ml or 10ml bottle. He goes to Walmart to get his refill every Monday and he told me sometimes they are out and he has to wait. Instead of doing his injection every Monday, he does them on a Monday or a Wens or a Thurs. He tells me he feels like crap all the time and thinks TRT is crap. I told him its not the TRT its your stupid provider and you need steady levels.
