It's as simple as increased adipose cell count when getting obese. When you lose weight, they remain so if in a massive surplus again they fill right back up. People who were never obese don't have that issue obviously.

found this recipe for a protein carrot loaf

full serving macros
457 calories
33 grams of protein
27 carbs
12.4fat
fiber 16(not sure if being deducted from carbs)

might be awful, worth a try, ive found if youre hungry enough these things taste good lol.

Recipe

1 egg
2 servings of sliced canned carrots
Half a cup almond milk
4 tbsp coconut flour
Salted caramel sugar free syrup
Cinnamon Salt
3 packets of Splenda
2 tbsp pb2
1 Too good yogurt container for icing mixed with sugar free cheese cake jello mix (7g)
Cooked at 350 for 40 mins After that move temp to 320 for 15 minutes Allow to cool and ice and store in fridge

good pull day!
had to drop 5 lbs 2nd set of rear delts,
rest was really pretty much on point strength wise. still holding all around for the most part.
gaining reps on some sets mildly and losing some later.
volume wise no change or up for the most part.
up a bit on biceps and got 40 stairmaster.
same foods!

little short on time today.
tomorrow dday again and going to a convention. completely forgot about it, i dont want to go lol.
oh well.

Might have to switch to faster carbs since this soup is just too much lmao.

Missed cardio convention took wayyyyy longer then expected. I'll get some extra today and tomorrow and following to make up. Gotta bunch of steps. Only tracked half the day and had 8k.

didnt have time for extra cardio, so knocking out 20 this afternoon and ill be caught up.
have a trip this weekend for wrestling! first tourney of the long season.
cutting calories as well should be super fun lol.

woke up super tired. feels like I didnt sleep anything, despite solid 6 6.5.

had a great push day with fst7 on side delts and triceps!
never had fst on triceps, holy yikes! havent felt that kinda fire back there in a minute.
everything stayed the same, besides incline bench, dropped 5lbs across the board and held pretty good.

on upright row, my striations look freaking WILD. with the little bit of added mass, and some leanness looks insane.
never had this look in my life so im like a little kid with it.

feel like shit, low sleep.
son/daughters wrestling club having a big time coach in for a small camp before season starts.
running longer then expected but fucking me up bad.

super sucks.
probably gonna sleep in a tad for hams tomorrow and no bjj. no way I can make it on 4 hours of sleep or less, depending.
off day Wednesday for kids after this so i can go to bed early and catch up a little. bjj thursday, traveling friday so no bjj and just reg cardio.

decent pull day regardless with fst7 on seated row and straight arm curl.
pretty nasty ha.

strength still held up on every single thing, and overloaded on cable curls a little, now that my biceps are healed hitting them good.
I lost a rep on wg lat pulldowns, because I forgot to do fst7 seated after it lol. lats were torched, still held pretty good just rested a little longer to catch up.

made some changes slightly to foods, idk how but my fat grams were creeping up.
everything was the same and the small changes I made were zero fat so not sure how that was happening.
cut some oats and added apples to bring it down.

I totally feel you on the reduced sleep. I'm grateful That coach has tomorrow scheduled as a rest day.

my schedule doesnt allow a lot of wiggle room, so when anything goes over I get screwed. I kinda knew it would be tough, but with lowered cals I see now how crucial sleep is. big difference, with 4k cals i was handling 5 hours like nothing. cant do that anymore at all.
