Yeeeeah buddy.

IMO, the time "off" is the most critical when you're trying to grow. If you don't pull the foot off the gas with training or eating you will still progress.

Too many guys come off, try to "cut" because they're a bit watery and chubby, or, can't mentally keep the intensity during training.

Strength will possibly dip a touch but, if you keep thev training weights where they were and refuse to pull them back even if you lose a rep or two, you'll take a huge leap when you get back on.

I totally agree. It’s interesting, strength for my first top set is the same (minus pressing with my pec tear lol). My strength just falls off super fast, and I can’t recover worth a damn. I’m sore as hell.

100%. My food is still pretty dang high. I’m hoping it comes down a good bit, so I can drop the insulin. I actually like the look during these trt phases, where I’m a bit softer and less full, but it shows the progress made. Compton said his best look was a guest posing on trt lol.

Been awhile since I posted my plan updates. Will just update what my current plan is and the bolded changes from the last one I posted, but it’s been about 3 weeks since. Week 2 of trt no changes were made. Carbs were dropped slightly last week. Big drop this week. Goal is to hopefully be able to pull Lantus for a bit on trt.

Trt phase will be 6-8 weeks depending on bloodwork.

Had a near death experience Friday night. I highly highly highly encourage anyone who thinks they may have sleep apnea to get a CPAP, and if you have one, use it any time you fall asleep.

Friday night my dad made white fish and green beans which I can eat for my normal meal 4, but he used a bunch of garlic and spices. This was my preworkout meal. I drank about 2L of fluids intraworkout, and I drank my post workout shake. I immediately lay down in the recliner and fell asleep. This is a zero gravity recliner where my head was below my feet.

I had an apnea event in the recliner, and it caused me to aspirate stomach acid. I woke up coughing and felt like my windpipe was on fire full of bile. When I finally tried to take a breath, my throat was completely closed. I have had this happen before for a few seconds, and I know you have to stay calm for your throat to open back up, so I tried to stay calm. Except my throat just didn’t open. It was about 1-2 minutes where i could not get any air. Finally, I started to be able to gasp and get a tiny bit of air — felt like I was breathing through a straw. I just kept forcing myself to try to gasp and finally got more air in.

I coughed up shit for the next 10-20 mins. Dad definitely freaked out. He’s a doc and basically explained apnea event causes a vacuum that tries to pull stomach acid into your lungs.

So…moral of the story. Recliners are murder chairs. Don’t fall asleep immediately after a meal. I will try my best to always use my cpap even for naps. Coach told me he had the same exact thing happen awhile back with his parents in town when he took a nap in a recliner. Scared the living shit out of us both.
 
Trained shoulders Friday night, and I didn’t really log my training. It was at a brand new gym with some crazy equipment, so I just wanted to try out some different stuff.

They had a really cool smith-esque plate loaded seated shoulder press on rails that was heavy as shit. It was all skelcore equipment. Never used it before, but overall it was pretty neat.

Oh shit that ain't right and good you were able to get your breathing back to normal. I hear you about recliners...not a good thing to sleep in.
 
Would’ve expected this to happen at my heaviest. I’m down in weight a lot and on trt, so it was extremely shocking.
Just invested in a CPAP and even happier I did after reading this currently have the nose pillows but I’m a side sleeper so I gotta invest in the actually mask I think. Glad your ok bud

I had a scare like that a few nights ago as I had the flu and my airway got blocked as I aspirated some mucus while I slept. Managed to get to the bathroom and pounding my chest and gave a big heave and finally got that shit out to breathe again.

Oh yes scary af.
