Trying to rehab a knee. Both knees in fact, possibly surgery on 1. Old army injuries. Curious if anyone has some easy cardio tips that's been in this position. Happened to get news from the doc about surgery right in the middle of my cut so shit timing of course.

I havent been through any of that but just my own thoughts. Maybe a bike would do better than a treadmill. Or an elliptical. That would be my first 2 to try and see how it felt

I have used a recumbent bike following a Tabata routine while rehabbing from shoulder and spine surgeries.
I have used rowing machine's too at times.
I am guessing that only you will be able to decide what your knee can take.
Possible try and air bike if you have access

Swimming is what i would recomend, itll keep the weight off the knees but you can still work them. Its a full workout for sure. I used to scuba dive and swimming laps was requirement. I assisted with classes and was working on my master diver cert. Only got as far as rescue diver though. anyway swimming is excellent cardio.

There is always a way to maintain cardio through most injuries. The solution is injury and person specific but an arc trainer, stationary bike (spinning not climbing) and eventually assault bike got me through foot and tibia fractures in the last 6 years. I swim about as well as a dog so the pool was out for me but probably right for you . Good luck.

My old gym had an arm bike. 20 minutes non stop was absolutely brutal!
