Last year almost I've been on test 180mg 1x a week from the clinic. Decent blood pressure (high sometimes) unfortunately my dad and grandfather had horrific heart and blood pressure problems. My dad was able to control his with meds until he passed from the heart defects.

I've doubled my dose to 360mg, 2x a week. (Sunday, Thursday)

Turns out. My clinic was wrong and they actually prescribe me enanthate, not cypionate like I was told originally. (I don't see anything it's all pre prepared and I pick them up)

Turns out my newly doubled dose is half of each. Cypionate (ugl) and enanthate (script)..🤦🏼‍♂️

I have been having signs of high blood pressure and after checking last night I was at 150/96..

Im getting incredible gains. I don't want to stop my dosage. I have an appointment this afternoon with my doctor to address the BP concerns and hopefully get something to help.

Could I get some input on this?

I don't think it's the different esters, it's the total mg load per week.

Just hop on some Telmisartan, it's protective. Sounds like it's hereditary.

I tried a lot of different approaches, my blood pressure is hereditary too, 80mg Telmisartan with 10mg Nebivolol has me lined out.

You can always try the holistic approach but it didn't work for me.

Same…80 mg. Telimisartan Per day puts me at about 125ish/85ish. I also take natokinase & cialis

Once I started increasing dose amounts past TRT levels my bp started creeping as well. Anything over 250mg + a week and I need to watch closely. I tried different methods to not go on bp meds, but at end of day didn't want to f around with bp. I went to donate blood one time and they turned me away because my bp was 155/95. That's when I figured if I'm going play with steroids I better add in a bp med while doing it. These days I now take low dose 12.5 mg Losartan daily. Losartan is an ARB similar to Telmisartan others suggest in this thread. I also take 5mg Cialis (sometimes 10mg) and 8000 units of Nattokinase along with my other supps daily. I'm usually around 128 ish over 85 ish (what they used to call fine numbers for blood pressure before they lowered it to sell us more bp meds) and I am fine with those numbers. Without the Losartan though it starts to rise again, even though I do believe the other supps coalesce well and help my overall health, enough to keep taking them as well. I don't believe I have or feel anything negative from the Losartaon, and many say ARBs are cardio protective in numerous ways. Just in case you gotta jump on that pill sounds like you are not the only one. Can always try and ditch and try a different one if needed they are fairly easy and little ill effect to most if you need to swap out and see how you react/feel on a different one.

I appreciate the replies

We'll see what the doctor says here in a few hours

Before you go in and doc says "ok here take this" know BP meds are not all created equal. The ARB's are generally considered cardio protective and one of the big points of why I chose an ARB and specifically Losartan is because they are the least likely to cause any sexual dysfunction. I am happy to report none of that here and I have some buddies are real gear heads who take high amounts of Telmisartan and report zero issues too. Good luck at the doc mate. If you have something in mind that is different than what the doc offers, be sure to bring it up and talk about it often they will let you try what you want first, these days. YMMV of course!

Same... none of the holistic items seemed to make much of a difference. 80mg of Telmisartan was what made the biggest difference. @aimanabolic what was the reason for the additional 10mg Nebivolol add?

First -
Hydration
Cardio
Weight management

Second -
Nattokinase
Carditone (double dose until BP is under control then regular daily dose)

Third -
Telmisartan - As low as 20/40mg can do wonders and it's typically not followed by many of the usual blood pressure drug side effects.

Same here!
80mg telmisartan
10mg Nebivolol
25mg HCTZ

We'll see how it goes. If any dizziness is involved I cannot keep taking it due to career decisions. She did say she is open-minded to trying whatever else is out there if I'm not satisfied with this one.

I said I'm supposed to lay off potatoes, and tomatoes, bananas, oranges, leafy greens, dark leafy greens, and pretty much every other food that is good..

Yeah dude...

General control: TART CHERRY JUICE
Immediate control: MATCHA (Green tea in powder form) it will drop your BP in MINUTES and keep it down for hours.
BP is not a genetic thing, its just that people who are in the same family are generally exposed to the same enviroment and eating similar foods.

I don't eat the same foods, don't live the same lifestyle.

I've relentlessly tried, I will validate that my blood pressure without meds is lower than the rest of the family, but 140-150/80-90 isn't where I want to sit (without PEDs btw)

I will say there's a ton of people who don't even try to do anything whatsoever and just pop whatever pills they can get prescribed.

In the past 30 years, almost every type of even mildly processed food has had at least 1 artificial ingredient that would negatively affect BP. Even some natural foods in the wrong portions can cause issues over time.
When I say the same diet, I dont mean literally the same foods, I mean the same toxic ingredients that are commonly in almost all "foods".

Cholesterol (HDL vs. LDL) is also quantified by labs based on the individual levels, but stop there and don't consider the ratio.
The ratio of HDL to LDL is very important, more important than either reading alone. Yet, (conveniently) they are always presented this way, which leads to a "high or low" scale on HDL and LDL separately, and "out-of-range" on either is a RED FLAG, and out come the meds typically.

Its just like looking at Test vs. Estro on bloods.

If some guys estro is at 60, most people would say thats too high.

Ok, maybe, if his test is sub-700 total.

If his test is at 1200+, then thats actually the optimal ratio range for growth!

The body is a system, no single marker should be isolated with disregard for all the other relevant markers, when looking at the human biological systems and their functions.

Research estimates that 30-50% of BP issues can be related to genetics. This is documented research.

Every single male on my dad's side has died from this.

All of them.

I'm not fucking around with seeing my kids grow older. I'll gladly keep taking what I am prescribed. My dad pulled himself off his Lisinopril, (pseudo homeopathic shit) less than a year later he was dead.

We have modern medicine for a reason. You wanna control your BP like the Flintstones, that's on you.

I greatly appreciate everyone's input. 💯

So limit potassium

Natto, proper hydration, omega 3, d3, mag, potassium, cialis, will drastically decrease bp.

Bp meds increase the potassium levels in your blood, potassium plays a huge role in bp. Why not just eat whole foods and take extra potassium.

And I eat very clean. When I say proper dosing of these supps, I am talking like 1g mag, 3g potassium, 10g omega 3, 10,000fu natto, 10,000iu d3, 10mg cialis.

Just my two cents but everyone has their own perspective. I'd rather see someone take meds than ignore their bp altogether. Most people won't take the steps I take to keep their bp in check.

I take bp meds but added beet powder (didnt figure it'd help but thought Id try it). It actually drops my systolic down almost 10pts. Might work for ya, might not...worth a shot.

High resting heart rate.
How high is it? Mine, over a 2-week period was 90; ranging from 84 to 94. I’m on Diltiazem XR (rythym, rate, bp) but it doesn’t work very well. Just yesterday they gave me 40mg Lisinopril (bp) to add to it.
But reading this thread it seems there some other solid choices.

It was about that before Nebivolol, now I sit between 60-70.

With it being a beta blocker, are there any sexual sides? The Diltiazem is a calcium channel blocker, which obviously functions differently, but no sides that I can tell.
