I am sure each one of us has their own method of injecting gear right? I am sure some methods are better than others but in general the goal is the same, to insert the needle deep into the muscle tissue and create a pocket of oil which stays in place and to avoid all veins while doing it. Yesterday while doing my injection, I did it slowly, I did not use the shooting dart method, instead I used the slow injection but during the insertion process I felt a sharp shooting pain, it was so bad I had to pull it back out, and when I did that, a gusher of blood squirted out, I must of hit a big vein cause it kept on bleeding for 5 mins after. This is my quad by the way, I do them while in a seated position, I pull down my pants and pick a place on my quad about halfway up from the knee. I use the z-type injection, I squeeze the area around the injection site to move the skin a little, so that after injection, i release the pinch and the skin moves back to its place, covering the injection, thus trapping the oil inside. So how do we avoid these veins, I took a picture of my leg bleeding so I will know what area to avoid next time, but there has to be a better way. Sometimes I find out I hit a vein only after I pull out the needle and blood starts gushing, and I always pull back on the plunger during injection to make sure I am not inside a vein. So can anyone give me any tips on how to avoid veins in general?

I had a couple of bad experience doing my quads where I was limping for a week. So I'm chicken now. I will probably have to one day.
