I just got an email from "bill" , telling me that my BITCOIN sale for $396.00 has been completed. I'm not sure what the angle is, but I'm not biting!
I separately checked both accounts and found no such transaction.
My guess is that they were hoping I'd call the phone number they provided?
Either way, be careful as these scumbags keep trying new shit all the time!

.....there is currently a cryptocurrency scam going on right now. I got taken for a good chunk of change.

This scam is navigated through a text on your phone. Someone posed as a representative from my crypto platform saying that my account was attempted to be hacked.

These thieves are very convincing. I called the number and was told that two attempts to hack my account from Singapore and I did receive to alerts. The first I ignored. As part of the scam they advised me to use an offline account to store my crypto which I have considered in the past. Again.....these guys are extremely convincing. He had me go to an secure very legitimate crypto offline wallet....one that I have considered using. After creating the wallet he help me transfer my crypto and watched as the transaction completed. I checked the wallet this morning as my balance was $0.00

Bastards. Any questions ask em here.

Ignore it brotha....don't get taken.

Wow! Bro that sucks. FUCK THESE PEOPLE. In reviewing the email, I see its another PAYPAL scam. The only difference is this is the first time they mentioned BITCOIN.
I just bought some Etherium, but this email is from 1100 this morning. Sorry for you situation bro.

I got a phone call from Coin base about a ledger connection about a month ago. Fortunately I haven't used coinbase in years so I knew it wasnt actually them but the scammers definitely did a good job of acting the part.

i thought only senior citizens took those texts and emails seriously. Come on doug old buddy
Absolutely not biting brother. I grew up in an IRISH neighborhood and the lads taught me well😉.
This is totally for educational purposes only.

You gotta remember the golden rules bro. No legitimate company will ever ask you for private account information they don't already have. If they are, they're trying to rob you.

I get five of these type things a week. They have renewed my Norton, had a problem with my Amazon refund, paypal transactions going through, renewed this, renewed that.
Since I don't have Norton, paypal and my amazon account is linked to a $1,000 credit card, I just delete everything.
I also get job offers from Linkdin or Indeed or something like that, whichever one doesn't actually do recruiting.
Not to mention the jobs they offer that pay $1500 daily working from home.

There definitely is a connection to being old with these scams.
Like the calls from "Senior Services" from obvious India.

100% man. No chance of giving them shit on a call like that I just had to acknowledge that they sounded and acted pretty legit.
