best syringe? struggling with getting all of the oil out during injection

I use Marathon test e, only 50mg x3 a week for 150mg for my trt dosage. i use a 1ml luer lock syringe, 23g 1in needle for drawing the oil and a 25g .5in for injection. I’ve noticed after each injection there is still a bit of oil in the needle hub and sometimes even inside of the syringe, is there a type of syringe that’ll reduce the dead space or is there another practice to help make sure all oil is being distributed out during injection ? thanks in advance
 
For that little amount of oil just use a slin pin. Youre not gonna avoid that issue w any luer lock design syringe. Options are slin pin, air bubble technique which i dont like the idea of or just put an extra .1 in the syringe to compensate. At the end of the day test is cheap af so why sweat the loss of .1ml

In terms of syringes, the EasyTouch 27g 5/8" insulin syringe will be all that you ever need IMO. This syringe can be used for IM or SubQ really at any injection site, it can be used for both oil and water based compounds and this is also the most cost effective option. If another company makes a 5/8" insulin syringe, I'm sure they're fine too but EasyTouch...

Definitely the best of both worlds for sure. Although I do appreciate being able to draw with a 23g and swap to a fresh needle to pin with. After doing both ways you can definitely tell that an insulin pin gets dulled ever so slightly after piercing a vial stopper. Not really the end of the world or anything just an observation

The leur lock mechanism definitely causes more oil to stay behind vs a regular insulin syringe. Also, using a drawing syringe will do that as well. If you care about it enough, just draw and inject with the same insulin syringe. For like TRT doses, it only take a few moments to draw up to half an ML of oil in these.

Totally agree with you. You’re robbing Peter to pay Paul no matter what you choose. Figure out what’s most important to you and make your decision based on that is the conclusion I came to. I find myself using insulin syringes for low volume TRT phases/cruises and a leur lock when blasting and volumes get to .5ml.

I back load my insulin needles to keep the needle fresh

Yeah these needles are best for 1 - 2 punctures total. So if I have to inject 1ML (multiple compounds for example), I'll back load with a separate syringe too. This allows you to IM inject 0.5ML in one site and 0.5ML in another site, with that same fresh syringe.

Otherwise, if you do multiple punctures, as I'm sure most of us have tried... the needle goes dull very quickly and you're more likely to have a sore injection site.

do you have a recommended size insulin pin? i have 31g 5/16 but its for my peptides, i doubt that would work IM

I'm curious...what's your beef with the air bubble method?

I'm an RN and that's my go to. I'm confident to say there is nothing wrong with it. 💁🏽
 
If you fill it to 3ml and shoot that then you won’t have to worry about the 10mg of Test left in the syringe or needle, should give you plenty.

I dont have a beef. I just dont want to accidentally inject air, id rather just waste the tiny amount in the luer lock... If guys use it successfully more power to them.

27g 5/8 is the best all around insulin syringe for injecting oils. If you use Marathon oils in migylol and heat the bottle up on a candle warmer for 15 minutes you can get by with a 29g 1/2 or I’ve even done a 30g before for smaller volumes. But the 27g 5/8 is probably your best bet
