So I was wondering what I can do to lower my hematocrit? I drink a lot of water and donate whole blood every 6 weeks... After 6 weeks its always back up to like 56 or so. Any help would be appreciated!

Serial donation made my hematocrit shoot up higher and higher on rebound. That's not good and will probably lead to ferritin deficiency. A better strategy for me is to go off for a month when it gets that high. I donate no more than 2x a year and always when I am completely off to avoid rebound. 53-54% is probably fine. A mild cycle and mine won't go much higher. If I go higher then it climbs and I will eventually have to come off. Even on TRT mine is 53-54%.

Check into nattokinase and naringin. Consistently taking these two have brought my hematocrit down slightly over the past 2-3 months from 56 to 54, but for me that's a big win because they have been creeping up consistently month over month. I've also heard good things about grapefruit or grapefruit extract, although I don't have any direct experience.

Don’t donate blood it’s only going to make the problem worse and suppress ferritin. Donating blood THICKENS your blood. Reduce red meat and Vitamin C. Drink 1.5 gallons of water a day, 8,000FU Natto, and the most effective part, intense cardio. Hard cardio 90-120 minutes a week will drastically lower hematocrit. Zone 3 cardio+ is recycling rbcs at a rapid rate. I have never once donated blood and my hematocrits around a 48 on 1600mgs aas. NAC has a secondary effect where it makes it more difficult for the blood to clot, just more ammunition right there for you.

seen one member mentioned , but I also agree nattokinase, also 5mg Cialis daily seems to help move the blood a bit too. water is your absolute best friend though.

I naturally have always been toward the higher end of reference range on HCT & RBC. when I added TEST/compunds it just passes out of range, but stays consistent. talking to my doc, and nurse friends was explained the ranges are "averages". Having YOUR data from labs is important, knowing where your levels are and what your changing can only lead to better results.

Wow I didn't know intense cardio drops hematocrit. Now that I'm thinking it makes total sense.. I been blasting and cruising last couple of years and my trt DOC is complaining about my hematocrit. Only thing off on my blood work, I love intense cardio but was focused on building certain body parts up. Didn't wanna drop recovery.

Again, Ty for that information. I will put it to good use, especially on this coming up long trt/masteron cruise.

my hematocrit was barely over the threshold and I was told by a trt doc to donate blood. I did every 3 months for about 1.5 years and now my ferritin levels are low

Stop donating blood, read my above comment brother. If the problem persists over 6 months only donate over a 56-58 hematocrit. But the long term solution would be to lower doses or switch compounds. Majority of the people I know solve blood issues with a few simple steps and hydration is extremely important.

3 things I did that helped me the most ( on top of already doing regular cardio and drinking 140 or more ounces of water daily) to lower my hematocrit from 54ish to 42ish consitently.

  • I stopped donating blood (was doing 3 times per year)
  • I started taking Nattokinase every day (3 capsules of the stuff I use daily = 8000 fu NatureBell from the mothership)
  • I started taking Naringin Extract (500mg Bulk Supplements powder from the mothership must mix with juice it's awful tase and super bitter)

If you may consider Naringin do some extra research and cross reference it (drug interaction or lookup tools online) as it can have a major impact on other meds you are taking. For me I find that I don't need to take more than 5mg per day Tadalafil since I started the Naringin, it really boosts the kinetics of the Tadalafil. I was trying 20mg Tada every other day for a bit, but found it to be overkill (long lasting uncomfortable erections, red face/appearance). Once I realized in my personal trial and error this impact of the Naringin (it's well known and discussed in many articles on it), I went back to 5mg per day Tadalafil or sometimes even only every other day now. It can impact BP meds too, from what I understand although I have remained on 40mg Telmisartan daily (no change there).

Thanks. That is what I have done. I haven't donated in about 6 months. My last bloodwork was in January and hematocrit was 52. I've already been taking nattokinse for a while. I drink about 120-140 oz of water a day. I'm only on TRT and I lowered my dose down to 120mg/week a month ago. I was using 175mg when I got my bloodwork. I'll get blood work again in a couple of months

Great recommendations in this thread

I just picked up some nattokinase for hemocrit

Astragulus for kidney health

And NAC.. because why not. Heard it’s good for the liver, immune system and inflammation

How much natt are you taking?

None at the moment. But It’ll be here tommorow and I’ll do some research and figure out a dosage

Might start at 4,000FU (that’s the actual unit measurement, not being a prick)

I got the nutricost ones so it’s 2,000 per pill. They reccomend 2000, but that’s not for someone on steroids, so 4000 seems like a better starting point

Yeah my brand has 4000fu normal. I was going to bump to 8000fu if recommended, if not I’ll just stay at that dose

Has any one used methyln blue 5mg-10mg daily and seen results? I been using it for 1month per vigorous Steve YouTube.

I haven't tried it but I heard Brendan Schaub talking about it on the last fight companion and he said he used 4x the recommended dose because more is better

For performance wise that’s correct, but for hemoglobin reduction I’m not sure if that’s the case

I take NAC every day.
Also take Nattokinase when my hematocrit runs high.

I def agree with others here on stopping the frequent donations because of possible rebound effect and iron issues.

Mine was high on my test 51 I think was because I did'nt follow instructions . I had taken a shot a day before and was not hydrated only had a glass of water . Do you think thats why it was high ?
