I’m wondering if anybody here is using reta for type 2 diabetes and not fat loss .Has it lowered ur hba1c? Has it lowered any blood markers for u?

My girlfriend has been using ozempic for her diabetes but she does not mix well with the drug. She always feels like shit, zero appetite, a lot of stomach issues. She’s trying to stay away from using insulin as long as possible. I think reta might be a good fit for her considering it’s as harsh on the body from what I’ve read and heard. It sucks it’s not available through doctors yet but I’m just curious to see if it works for anybody that’s currently using it for this

Thank u in advanced for any replies 💪

Has she looked into tirzepitide?
I have a family member with type 2. She was on Ozempic and it wasn't a good fit. She switched to tirz (Monjarou) and has had good success. Been on it for maybe a year, and she is much smaller now, and she mentioned that her A1c is in a normal non-diabetic range now.

She has not yet. That is a good idea though. I just brought it up to her.

Tirz would 100% be better than sema if she’s looking strictly for FDA approved stuff.

If she was cool with the research chem side, a LOT of folks have raved about it for their type 2.

There’s a guy on YouTube who is type 1 B (it’s like a pancreatic insufficiency so sometimes his pancreas secretes and sometimes it doesn’t) and he has discussed how effective reta has been for him to where he struggles to even dose insulin with meals now because he will go hypo on it.

I don’t have type 2 but I haven’t seen my blood sugar below 90 in quite a while. Started reta and I have to be careful because I’ve gone as low as 57 in my BGM. In fact I can’t do just straight whey protein shakes anymore because the small insulin spikes I get from whey results in my going sub 70 every single time unless I have said shake with a handful of carbs. I know in studies it “doesn’t cause hypoglycemia” which to be fair, it hasn’t directly, but it’s definitely cranked up my insulin sensitivity to 1000 because I used to be able to do PSMF without any issues but now whey and even simple sugars can cause a pretty significant drop.
