If you're having mental and physical issues at this point in prep, then don't do a show. Why? Because it hasn't even gotten hard yet and it's gets worse every week right up to the show. If your heart isn't in it 110% what's the point? Just being real with you.

Do what is best for you. If you decide to go through with it, just do it. If not, that's totally cool as it's not for everyone.

After doing this long enough, you know when to make these types of calls for the best interest of the athlete.

We push until I think it's not healthy (physically or mentally) or we're just making things worse.

I've said it since the start, where he was when we started working together wasn't a great spot to be in. The long term plan, over eight or ten months, leading into a prep is just as important as the prep itself.

Hopefully we see drastic changes since he's right in that window where I would expect to see them (he's been there for a few weeks though) and we can finish. If not, it's time to think long term.
