34 years old recovery after 7 years on trt

Hey everyone! I wanted to share my experience with fertility after being on TRT and running higher-dose cycles on and off for about seven years.

After getting married in 2024, my wife and I decided we were ready to start trying to conceive. Unfortunately, after about six months of trying without success, I had a semen analysis done. The results came back with zero sperm.

I was then prescribed Clomid 50 mg daily and HCG 5,000 IU per week. After about three months, my sperm count had increased to around 2 million. Over the following year, my numbers continued to improve, and eventually my semen analysis showed approximately 130 million motile sperm.

My testosterone levels are now around 650, which is actually very similar to where my levels were about 10 years ago.

Overall, I’m really happy with how things turned out, especially considering I had been on TRT and using higher doses on and off for roughly seven years.

I wanted to share my experience because I know fertility can be a major concern for guys who have been on TRT or anabolic steroids. Everyone’s situation is different, but hopefully my experience can provide some encouragement to others going through something similar.

Will you be completed off after the pregnancy?

Im about to do the same in a year or so. Urologist basically said same thing. Get analysis before starting stopping test and starting therapy then go from there. Congrats on getting the boys back up and running.

Im guessing you had to stop trt entirely during this process?

I will be going back on trt but I will be administering HCG twice a week along side the test this time around. Then when the time comes again to conceive, I’ll up the HCG and get back on clomid at 50mg ed.

Yes, COMPLETELY. Strictly was on HCG and clomid.
