I’ll be there too. I may or may not be competing but I’ll be taking photos.

Cool. I’ll send you a DM later this year and check in with you. I’ll buy you a protein shake! Maybe I can book you to do my shots.

Be ready for one of the most difficult experiences of your life. :)

Give it all you have my friend!!!! No regrets!

couple of crunch trainers in my area did a show about 4 months ago.
lets just say their experience was not difficult lol.

if i looked like them i would not step on stage, and put npc competitor in my profile lol.

I think the same thing. I love bodybuilding at heart, but the amateur culture kills me especially these days with social media. Looking 12 weeks out talking about proud of the “package” we brought, now to beat it. All these package and shit overused bodybuilding terminology kill me as well as the NPC competitor in the bios.

They probably got placed last...and literally laughed off the stage :ROFLMAO:

they had after pics eating donuts post show lol. looked like they never stopped eating donuts through all of prep lol.
Oh man most trainers I know from Crunch or Planet Fatness were all fat or skinny fat types who have a sense of delusional grandeur!

At one gym I go to there's one jacked dude working towards his first NPC show.

Agree on the wanna be competitor culture that happens at some shows. The "I competed look at me crowd" and have zero health issues who do it for bragging while putting in minimal effort and/or time looking like crap.

One thing to remember about competing though is you don't always know the persons back story or where they came from. Some were obese, anorexic, in some sort of an accident, health issues and as a result don't look as what we all imagine a competitor should look like. One of my proudest moments was seeing someone who was morbidly obese work his ass of to drop hundreds of pounds and hit the stage. Didn't place, but the mother fucker won if you know what I mean. It's all relative at some level.
