This is a major problem. Most people that "hate Christians/religion" have formed their opinions based on counterfiets.

You are 100% correct. That is why Christians are called to live according to their faith, not be religious. If Christians were to live as Christ instructed people would see truth.

Some are counterfeits, but none of us has it all figured out. One of the biggest stumbling blocks that leads to unbelief is judging Christianity by looking at Christians. If you’re looking at anyone other than Christ, you’ll most likely be disappointed. You’ll definitely be disappointed if you look at me. I believe in Him, and on my good days you might say I follow Him, but if me being perfect is what it takes for others to be saved, then I’m sorry folks, but we’re doomed. I’m probably not even average. Perfect isn’t an option for me. Luckily, He told us that’s not how it works.
