Doug ur fucking mindset and will are going to bring you through this!!!!
Keep on keeping on my man!!!
For a forum filled with jerkoffs
It's times like this ASF really shows who we are!
I'll be shooting up some prayers to the big guy for you as well pal!;
Thank you brother. I appreciate all the help and support I can get.

Well... here I go! Today will be day one of the Chemo and Immunotherapy treatments. This will be the first test as the "adverse reaction" guide says most stuff will happen with the first infusion... but could also happen later... Basically saying... we don't really know! LOFL
The two meds are PADCEV and KEYTRUDA. They seem to be the generalized recommended combo and when they work, they work together well... unfortunately they also help synergize each other's potential for reactions... IDK... still sounds better than a bag!
I'll see how this shit hits me today and if I can, I'll check back in later this evening.
In any event... always fight rhe good fight and leave no one behind.
HOOYAH

As Clint Eastwood once said “you never have to get old if you never let the old man in” you’re young at heart and your positive mindset is going to pull you through this! You got this brother!

Well... morning weight 175.2. I did the infusions yesterday and so far so good. I am guessing its safe to say the immediate reaction period is passed.
The visit went well despite it taking almost 5 hours! They must've seen I was getting short at the 3.5 he mark because they offered me food!
Now I'm off to work... hopefully there are no delayed reactions to be had and the day goes as usual. Cardio will be work steps for today and tomorrow. Im planning to hit the gym Friday and get back in the saddle. I alsi spoke with Doc regarding TRT and we will see where that goes. He made a comment about the Glutathione INJECTABLE! LOL... I had to remind him that its used regularly in medicine etc... no im not a junkie, yes I know how to do inject I ons, hi have we met... my name is Doyg and im a 35 year medic... ugggg.
Anyway thats todays good news... hope to post nuthin but going forward.

So just a quick recap of the week post infusion.
So far so good, the only thing I'm keeping an eye on is the onset of tired! I noticed that for 3 of the days now post infusion, I get tired about halfway through the day. It kinda just shows up all unwanted... like family!!! LOL
Honestly its not too terrible and so far I've been able to just chill out and grab a quick nap. Once I get a minute I seem able to jump back in. IDK if its a side effect or what, but if it is, it's waaay better than some of the others!
Im heading in to work in a few and I am gonna see what happens with this pattern.
I also go for round 2 this Tuesday so I will see if this is repetitive... or cumulative. That's all for now, the weight has been holding in the mid 170s and TBH I did skip the Friday session. I did end up with a bunch of steps and for now that'll work. Pics below

Sending good vibes your way!

Morning weight 172 flat. It’s Tuesday and it's infusion time. I'm hoping they don't keep me here for 5 hours like the last time. I slept like shit tossing and peeing all night. The urinary frequency is getting better but I still get these insane urges to pee out of the blue. Running water is even messing with me! Hope the old lady doesn't stick my hand in warm water while i'm sleeping, cause its game over!
Today is round 2, its Chemo only today. These guys really need to get it together. The doc says one thing, the nurse says another and the infusion people say yet something else! I was initially told 3 infusions a month. The last time I was here they said 2 a month... I just want to make sure these guys get on the same page...MINE! Fuckers! In any event... round 2 and I'll follow up post treatment. Have a great day guys.

It'll come together and you'll be flipping off the world again in no time. Defiant and beating the odds.

Thats gotta be pain in the ass. I would demand an answer and verification before having treatment. Someone might have fucked something up and you don't need to be the reason they figure it out. Sending good vibes!

Yeah man I made them break it down today so I got a straight answer. I also got a definitive answer on the Test and it's safe to use. Prostate cancer not so much... but bladder cancer its ok.

Round 2 in the book. I have to say I felt a couple of the sides last night and today. Skin issues are a thing with these meds and itching is one of the common sides. It seems to have worn off today, but it was tough not to scratch everywhere yesterday.
I also woke up tired AF today. I almost called work and told them I'd be late, but I sucked it up and got moving. I got 7 more rounds of this shit and I don't want to start falling for the sides now. MB later when they're really tough cause I get the feeling this stuff has a cumulative effect.
In any event work and work steps today. Check back later!

I don't generally post a lot of stuff about my health issues because I never really had any up until a couple of weeks ago.
I started peeing blood about three weeks ago give or take, and saw the doctor. Doc put a camera up there and told me I have bladder cancer.
We scheduled surgery and today is the day. Im heading in at 1245 and there will be at least a 23 hour stay.
IDK what else they will do as there was talk of possible stents to my kidneys and I definitely get the wardrobe change to a Foley catheter and leg bag for a minute.
Hopefully it will go well, then I wait to see what type and stage. Im hopeing they get that done quick so I know which way to go. I either buckle up for the long run... or get ready for the party and the long list of go fuck yourself letters to some people!
Either way... catch you guys soon... I hope!
Praying for you "Doug"
