Oakley's Diet and Training Log

I'm embarrassed that I go down the volume rabbit hole once a year or so. I need to stop listening to others and watch what actually works for me. I always come back to this style of training. I need to stop veering off the path in the first place. Would probably have had much better success in this bulk if I trained like this from day one.

Rest day today. Did 20min of fasted cardio this morning. Pulled all carbs today because after two training days with carbs in, my breathing is back to being garbage. I think at this point, I'm going to pull deca out and see if the carbs and deca combo is causing the water retention. I premix my weeks worth of gear in a 10mL vial so Saturday night will be my last pin of deca. Hopefully from there, I can ramp carbs back up without having these issues.

Honestly I'm getting fucking tired of all the issues I've had this growth phase. I almost feel like this has been a waste of 14 weeks. I'm still lean, so I won't have to cut much fat off once I pull the plug. I will want to run an 8 week cruise or hold phase so I don't diet off the little tissue I did put on, then cut down, and I think I'll have Justin rebound and control my growth phase this next go around.

Just from watching your log, I personally don't think you're giving yourself enough time with the changes you make.

You seem you be being very reactionary with small things like a quarter to half inch of waist increase after pushing up food for a few days. It's gonna happen, and the food has gotta go up to grow. There's always going to be something given up for whatever direction you go.

You look phenomenal, I think you're just overthinking it a lot of the time. Turn the brain off, stick with this low volume approach, keep the carbs high, embrace the water and get brutally strong in good rep ranges. You'll grow like crazy. You'll gain some fat, but it's not the end of the world as long as you're not just A fat pile of shit at the end.

Yea I get it. The last 4 weeks or so have been a lot of small changes to fix issues like distention, and breathing issues. No way I could continue or embrace the water if its causing me to not be able to breathe.

The waist thing is absolutely retarded. Thanks for calling me out on it. I need to stop measuring it in the morning. The check in pictures tell the story.

I've very excited about my training. I really drove myself in the ground at the beginning of the push with the higher volume/frequency training. I just wasn't experienced enough to notice or see it as I became more fatigued. Another lesson learned.

Had a bad injection I guess a few days ago that has been killing me. Left ass cheek, but for some reason, the oil came out of the muscle and moved sub q up my lower back. Very weird. Anyway, it is sore as fuck to the touch. Got in the leg press to warm up and couldn't even sit there. I tried to suck it up and did my first warm up set, but once I upped the weight for my second warm up, it was too much. Decided to just hit a couple hard sets of leg extensions and let it heal.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Train hard, and then go overload on carbs and fats. Today will be my first cheat in 14 weeks. Really looking forward to some pie and all the side dishes. 🔥

Breathing is ass today from the food yesterday. I threw the 10mL vial away that had the rest of this weeks gear in it. Just going to start fresh with no deca in the mix. Plus something is giving me really bad pip. Not sure if its the high concentration deca or Test E. I need to figure it out within the next couple injections because now my lower back is fucked, and both shoulders are so sore as fuck. I'm really hoping its the deca or I'll have to run the Test E for a long while until I can get Cyp raws.

Super impressive original transformation and great job on this bulking phase so far. Love the detail you have in your journal. Its a very inspirational transformation and obviously of of hard work and consistency.

Was wondering if you have a journal or anything posted for your initial transformation. Im in the middle of my own transformation from being a fat fuck at 5'11" and 246 with no muscle mass really since I didnt lift or play sports. Now down to 186 at 20%bf. In week 3 of my next cut cycle of 16 weeks but my end goal is very similar to what you achieved prior to this bulk cycle so wanted to see if you had any info posted, recommendations, lessons learned, etc. for someone part way through where you used to be?

I think most of my beginning stuff was on UGBB but that site is gone now. If I had to do it all over again, I'd hire a bodybuilding coach right away. It's taken me years of religiously researching for hours a day to learn what I have so far. There is only .00001% of the population who is going to do that. And even then, when you have some knowledge, it's much easier to make consistent progress with another set of eyes watching over you. With a coach, all you have to do is follow the plan and not think about anything. It will get you to your end goal leaps and bounds faster than you doing it yourself.

Contact @Montego or find a coach that you mesh with personality wise. It will be more than worth it if you are serious about your goals.
 
Thanks man and that's great advice but not something I can pull off at the moment. Definitely something I want to do in the future but the timing is terrible. Without getting into too long a story, I worked for the Fed Gov for 20 years, my department got moved to another state in a reorganize and my options were relocate woth my job or get let go. I cant relocate since I have 50% custody of my 4 young kids so had to take the out. That was a few weeks ago so looking for my new career. In the meantime the gym is my therapy...lol. which is a positive thing. As much as I would live to hire a coach I couldn't justify doing that with my emergency funds Im living on. Once I land something new and secure Ill have to rebook into that. For now it's trial and error with researching as much as I can. Again amazing ob brother and thanks.

Just stay consistent. Diet is the most important part of your journey. No amount of gym time is going to fix a shit diet. If you can stay consistent with your diet, you'll progress.

Not going to lie, my stomach is blown out from all this food, but I look the biggest and widest I've ever seen myself. Brushing my teeth this morning, my lats and shoulders where popping. Feels good to be full as a house and strong in the gym but if I keep this up, I'll be a fat piece of shit in a couple weeks. :cry:
 
Stop it, waist is still tight AF.
Stomach. Not waist. My stomach is full and hard walking around during the day with this amount of food. I'm not bloated like I was when the COR was fucking me up. Just full of food to my eyeballs. I'm excited to train tomorrow. I bet squats are going to move a bit easier.
