What made you choose ASF

I came here to learn and share brewing stuff. That forum here was very lively back then but I started out by making a few faux pas' and dudes came hard at me or ignored me. I came here as myself as I live in Mexico and didn't care or have anything to do with the US and DEA bullshit. Eventually I got around to getting something and giving back. But the home-brew section died when a few big guys got popped.
I went over to BoP under a name that wouldn't point to me directly and did so to have the freedom to talk specifics about brewing. I got into it with a super macho douche tough guy know as "Irish Oak" and although he himself was banned and brought back through much dick sucking, he managed to get me banned. I tried to log on and saw I was banned for "douchebaggery" or something like that. Oh the irony. This ban came after I complained to admin that dickhead connected me on that forum directly as CoachCabo here. So much for anonymity. I actually like BoP and many of the guys there. But I don't miss them. Sam and Swoleo are here so, I am good. I suspect Irish Dope is here in many different versions of himself. He got booted pretty quick when those refugees came over. ASF dudes figured him out pretty fast.

In the end and up to today, I find ASF to have its share of DB and trolls with zero useful information or benefits to share. But overall, guys seem to really look after each other here.
If you look at who remains here year after year, you'll see the burnouts and flash-in-pan dumbasses that drop like flies after a super duper cycle to two.
The wealth of information and experience here is incredible. One just needs to sift through it all to glean useful stuff.

I visit miso sometimes because a few good guys here told me to check it out. I find in generally useless. If you think dickheads pop up here...go check that site out.

That’s the most serious forum you’ll find for bodybuilding. John meadows was a regular back when he was with us RIP Skip hill showed face again there recently, many pros and serious guys with knowledge. Moderators actually moderate if you get out of line or if you provide nothing of meaning out there just to troll you won’t be there long. Not saying our mods don’t mod, but supposedly the pit is where anything goes, but every thread anywhere is full of retarded input and or trolling, no serious discussion. Anywho, try it out may or may not be for you, but figured as a competitor and coach with your knowledge that’d be more your speed.

What made you choose this forum? I’ve been here a few years and I can say for me it’s by far the best.. I just couldn’t get into any of the others.. it just seemed like most the others the members are nothing but absolute arrogant assholes.. don’t get me wrong there’s a few here .. but all in all the sponsors are fantastic here and don’t try and cut each other’s throat and the members are just sharing advice and past fuck ups.. great place to learn

My wife is vegetarian and complains about what amounts to her body wasting away, while she sees me progressing rather than regressing. But I don't say shit anymore. She knows I know what it takes to "fix" her and in today's world, me expressing concern is tantamount to "spousal abuse".
I have a Navy buddy who was my wingman when we were two of the most fit guys on the ship. Today, he is an absolute tub of shit who has CHF, has been hospitalized and almost died from trying semaglutide. He has a fucking bike in his house. I asked him how much he rode it one day, he replied "Ten minutes". I asked why ten? He said "Because it is more than 9."
When I asked him if he thought this was all a joke, he knew I was done.

"The cobbler's children have the worst shoes." is something I seem to revisit almost daily.

Irish was a clown. He came here trying to throw his weight around and and got hazed mercilessly for his troubles. I don't remember which member is was, but one of the senior members here on ASF went out of his way to make his life miserable. But that's the way it was back then. You sat at the kid's table until you were asked to come sit with the adults. The members who have recently joined, especially the ones in the last three years, have no idea how rough it was until you were accepted. I'm not saying that way was the right way, but that's just the way it was. Today is all rainbows and unicorns, lol I'm glad I toughed it out.

I gor banned from BOP years ago. Glad it happened.

I got banned short term because I had a different opinion on a simple matter with a moderator. He accused me of threatening him over a differing opinion. He got banned shortly after, I blv his handle/username was rigs.

Ran across a LOT of different sites and forums and wound up here. The honesty and willingness to help from people here really struck me. There's probably more than a few here that would like to strike me. I've only been here a little over a year so not a vet by any stretch but I love it here. I try to contribute if I can, which isn't much. I appreciate the sharing of knowledge and experience, the twisted sarcastic humor, the "What are you retarded?" frankness, the genuine concern for each other etc etc... The list goes on. I had looked at several different forums when I was looking into learning bodybuilding after losing a lot of weight. What I found here, for the most part, is a community of mostly like minded people that are all willing to share their knowledge and try to help a brother out. The difference between ASF and others was a lot less drama and less narcissistic asses that have to tear other people down to feel better about themselves. I found a lot more sponsors on here as a whole that are willing to give good customer service and be mostly patient with folks who are new to all of this and willing to help. So, hands down, this is one of the best forums I have found.

I love this forum more than any of the others, I belong to this one And I believe I was led to it from the Anabolicminds forum. Also, from a little research, I ended up on Muscle Chemistry Forum for a while, and I check in there sometimes. Muscle chemistry has its own app, which doesn’t actually seem to matter much, and it’s great if you’re looking for a legitimate suppliers. My old supplier suggested I go to muscle chemistry to check out their legitimacy. That supplier was PSL, and they are indeed legitimate, but they’re also fairly limited In their offerings. I used to use PSL because they used to take Venmo and that was one of the easier ways for me to pay. Until I got on this forum and discovered Hammer and Bell, and I got my crypto payment figured out, and now that I’m using H&B gear they’re my suppliers forever. I love those guys because they make it possible to afford whatever combination that I want to do. MC is pretty good, but it’s not like this one, which is a lot more encouraging and seems a lot more realistic. I really like the doctor that started anabolic minds, but the forum just wasn’t for me. Oddly enough I found the advice there just all over the map and nobody asked questions about you. They just start suggesting different compounds, so they have no idea who you are how old you are or anything about you And that’s begging for a misdiagnosis.
ASF is definitely where I found a home for all of the advice and real world experience that I need to be successful in my bodybuilding

I was looking for some gear online. Had no clue what I was doing. I was skeptical to say the least. I kept seeing a source keep being mentioned. I looked into them and found a thread on asf about them. I was like hold up. What’s a bodybuilding forum?
Then I found the sponsor section and was like , what in the actual fuck!! Placed an order and boom. Here we are. ASF is all I know. Born and raised.

Pretty much the same here.. I wasted a lot of years when I was younger.. I didn’t do social media or the internet it was mainly just bro science.. I had no idea how wrong I was doing things.. would have loved to have had this much experience at my fingertips

This 100 times over. So many of the other boards seem for the most part to be the same old hats cracking jokes picking on noobs and on the take for their preferred shops. Just seems different around ASF like many many people here actually seem to care. Happy to be a part of it, even if I can ramble at times.
