I live 40 miles from Mexico and go through the border checks periodically. I see Mexican license plates on the road many times daily. They get waived through DHS just like me. I blow by Border Patrol “police” cars on the highway like they’re standing still.

I have a golf buddy who works for DHS, saw him a week ago. His perspective is that all we need to do is enforce the law at the border. And he’s right. You’ll never root out the ones already here, you just have to stop the flow. Seriously, I’m that close to the border. The local sheriff in Santa Rita county has done all the political stuff there with Trump, Vance, Kari Lake, Gallegos, Engels and all the other politicians (both D&R) and all he’s said is it’s a federal responsibility that he needs help with. ALL LE IN AMERICA have the same posture. There is no funding at the local level to pay for this, cops budgets are strapped doing what they’re supposed to do.

Round ups and mass deportation is a fantasy, being profiled is a reality. DHS in “ cop” cars with laptops aren’t going to round up 11million people.

Why do you keep saying sides? Are you not an American,? Am I not? His policies will affect us all. Last term it was hard to keep us with all Trump's fuck ups because it was a new one every week. Corporate tax from 37 to 21 percent. Tariffs caused American farmers to be bailed out and our prices went up. He flamed to fire in the middle east by pulling out of the Iran agreement and moving the embassy to Jerusalem. He mismaged Covid so badly to the tune of 1 million dead. This term will be even worse. More tariffs, tax cuts for the rich, and rights taken away
