Hey guys,

Need a little bit of help/direction interpreting this blood work. I’m 7 weeks into a cycle of 500mg Test E per week. Things are going OK, but I’m a bit underwhelmed as far as gains go. I don’t have any nasty high E2 sides and I feel pretty decent, but I feel like my testosterone is very low for 500mg a week. What do you guys think? I pin 250mg twice a week.

Androgen receptor density varies person to person. It’s genetic. You are supraphysiological. Gains come from food. Eat more.

If I need to, I will take .25 mg of arimidex

I'm liking everything I'm learning about Masteron to help with Estradiol, but definitely do your own research before adding a steroid on top.

I lean more toward Aromasin > Arimidex from my research, but I haven't needed either since my Estradiol stays pretty low without.

Post macros/diet.

Hope this screenshot helps. My diet right now is comprised of chicken, beef, ground turkey, white rice, yogurt, eggs, honey, and fruit. If you need me to go more in depth I am happy to post more screenshots. Just didn’t want to clutter up the thread with a bunch of photos. This day was 4,515 calories. I aim for 4200-4500 calories per day

Height, weight, bodyfat?

Lastly what do you exactly mean by underwhelmed?

5’ 11”, 201lbs this morning, 20% body fat. It seems like gains have sort of stopped. I think I’m mostly concerned about the 1600 total test. Isn’t that low for 500mg?

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong but I don't THINK testosterone goes up linearly like that, it's genetic.
It's not like if you double your test dosage it will double your total test ect.

I would expect higher than 1600 but I'm a newb.

You are aromatizing big time because of your body fat and honestly you should be running a cut. You should be getting that E2 in range. Nothing good comes from running estradiol that high. If I’m reading your macros correctly, 200 grams of fat is completely unnecessary.

In layman's terms to answer your question, your T would be higher if you BF% were lower. You are converting a portion of that exogenous Test to E.

Check SHBG on your next lab test.

Instead of you guys obsessing over your testosterone and estradiol levels while on testosterone, you should check your body composition changes over time and side effects. That is infinitely more useful than the hormone levels themselves.

If your testosterone is artificially elevated, your estradiol should be as well. The important thing is not the estradiol number itself but whether you are having side effects related to excess estradiol relative to testosterone. If you are converting a lot of exogenous testosterone to estradiol, there is a reason for that, and its your body protecting you from unopposed testosterone. I have explained this so many times on social media and people still don't seem to understand that its not estradiol that is harmful. In fact, some of the beneficial body recomposition effects of testosterone therapy come not from testosterone but from estradiol (especially the reduction in visceral fat which occurs after about a year on TRT - this is a life prolonging effect of testosterone that is mainly caused by increased levels of estradiol, and men taking AIs do not get this longevity benefit because they wrongfully believe estrogen is bad, when the research says the exact opposite).

i agree with most of what you said. my only point to the OP is there is no benefit for any man running an E2 over 100, the equivalent to some ovulating women. Using an AI to put E2 in the reference range or slightly above is not harmful.

A bit off topic but im usually thinking the same thing as far as gains go 7 weeks in. However that usually changes for me around week 10 …. 1600 seems low on 500/week

What you just said is absolutely what 99% of people including some experts believe. I would challenge your assumption on this, though. I have made some videos that cite the academic papers showing estradiol is responsible for some of the key benefits of testosterone therapy. If you want, I can DM you those videos, I don't want to violate the forum rules here by constantly linking my own social media pages.

I have no doubts about the benefits and physiological need of estradiol, provided it’s either in range or not causing side effects. You still never addressed my point that the OP is going to benefit from an estradiol over 100. Nothing good is going to come from that and I don’t care what a couple of academic papers say. I can also go on Pub Med and cherry pick studies showing the opposite. Not interested in doing that. I will call this an impasse and leave it that.

Seems like quite a bit of a surplus for a 200lb male. What are you maintenance calories? If it’s not I’d switch about 120g of fat for carbs.

How long after your last injection did you have your blood drawn?

E2 kind of spicy

I would expect to see 2500+ on 500mg/week.
U need to drop 10# of BF & your e2 would probably drop quite a bit
